Is Katey Sagal support of Marriage equality just a PR stunt to advance her career??

from the advocate,

imagesKatey Sagal, whose portrayal of Peg Bundy on Married…With Children left viewers with an indelible impression of wedded life, wants everyone to have access to the institution.

The actress appears in a new video for Americans for Marriage Equality, the public engagement effort from the Human Rights Campaign featuring prominent spokespeople from the worlds of politics, entertainment and sports.

I say she jumping on this bandwagon because her career isn’t really going any where.. She hope this will help her career. Just another straight actor/ess using us as usual..

Qnotes picks and chose which Events are more worthy to write about.

Did you know that every year here in NC there is two Pagan Pride events? However if you go by Qnotes the only main one is the one Dallas NC, the Piedmont Pagan Pride Day.

The two Pride are as follow, Raleigh Pagan Pride, which used to Central Pagan Pride and the Piedmont Pagan Pride, the Piedmont Pride is held one week after Raleigh’s Pagan Pride.

This year Lainey Millen wrote about this event, she wrote the piece on the starting day of the Raleigh Pagan Pride day. however as seen in the screen shot below Raleigh PPD was more or less a foot note. You see only those events West of Raleigh is important to Qnotes, those events in Charlotte gets top billing..

Yet they claim to cover all of the North Carolina, but the truth is that they only cover Charlotte, Asheville, Greensboro follow by Durham and Raleigh and if you live in Eastern NC just forget it, cause you are a waste of time and money.. They also cover any major GayINC events.. the rest just get foot notes.. in their paper and online.

Charlotte_ Pagans hold Pride event _ QNotes Gay Charlotte and LGBT Carolina News, Arts & Entertainment_1348673772772.png

also let it be known that the Raleigh PPD is much larger then the Piedmont PPD event.. this Year Raleigh PPD was the largest ever.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chick-fil-A Ceases Anti-gay Donations, Clarifies Stance on Gay Customers & Employees

September 18, 2012 – Chicago, Illinois – The Civil Rights Agenda (TCRA), Illinois’ largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights advocacy organization, has learned that Alderman Moreno has finalized his negotiations with Chick-Fil-A.  Alderman Moreno’s advocacy has resulted in the company confirming that they will no longer give money to anti-gay organizations. The Civil Rights Agenda worked closely with the Alderman in an advisory role as he negotiated these concessions with the executives at Chick-fil-A.

In a letter addressed to Alderman Moreno and signed by Chick-fil-A’s Senior Director of Real Estate, it states, “The WinShape Foundations is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas.”  In meetings the company executives clarified that they will no longer give to anti-gay organizations, such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage.

Additionally, they have sent an internal memo to franchisees and stakeholders that stated that, as a company, they will “treat every person with honor, dignity and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender,” and that their “intent is not to engage in political or social debates.”  This statement was placed into an official company document called “Chick-fil-A: Who We Are.”

“We are very pleased with this outcome and thank Alderman Moreno for his work on this issue,” said Anthony Martinez, executive director of The Civil Rights Agenda. “I think the most important part of this outcome is that Chick-fil-A has ceased their donations to anti-gay groups in 2011 and going forward. With some of the groups that they were donating to being classified as hate groups, and others actively trying to halt the movement toward full civil rights for LGBT people, Chick-fil-A has taken a big step forward.  We are encouraged by their willingness to serve all people and ensure their profits are not used to fight against a minority community that is still trying to gain full and equal civil rights.”

“Although we are encouraged by their internal statement, we still would like for the company to adopt an anti-discrimination policy at the corporate level,” said Rick Garcia, policy advisor for The Civil Rights Agenda. “It is one thing for a company to say they respect everyone they serve and employ, it is quite another for them to put that into their policies and demand that all employees adhere to that behavior.  As we have heard from gay employees that work for Chick-fil-A, there is a culture of discrimination within the company and we would like to ensure that employees can speak out and call attention to those practices without fear of reprisal. It takes time to change the culture of any institution and steps like a corporate policy ensure that progress is made.”

Just who are these Secret Donors?

Dear XXXXXXXXXXX,

On September 13, 2011, one year ago today, North Carolina legislators chose to enshrine bigotry in our state's constitution when they put Amendment One on the ballot. Today, one year later, we are taking an important step to make sure something like this never happens again in North Carolina.

On behalf of the board and staff of Equality NC Action Fund, I am proud to announce our endorsements for the North Carolina General Assembly. Representing all regions of North Carolina, these equality champions have proudly stood with North Carolina's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community while serving in office or have pledged to do so if elected. Statewide and judicial endorsements will be released next week.

Please CLICK HERE for your 2012 Equality NC Action Fund Voter Guide.

How can you help? First, please be sure to share these endorsements with everyone you know through Facebook and Twitter. Second, make sure you and your pro-equality friends are registered to vote. And most important, don't forget to vote on November 6. If there was ever a year to vote for LGBT equality (and against those who discriminate), this is certainly it!

Finally, help us elect these pro-equality candidates. PLEASE DONATE GENEROUSLY to our Action Fund Challenge right now! To sweeten the pot, a very dedicated group of generous donors are matching all gifts to Equality NC Action Fund by 50% up to $60,000!

It was personal. It was payback. It was politics. Let's never let it happen again. Let's keep fighting for equality together. Thank you for your vote and thank you for your donation!

Fighting for pro-equality candidates,

Stuart Campbell
Executive Director

PS: Don't forget to support pro-equality candidates by giving to our Action Fund Challenge right now. Thank you!

So just who are these generous donors who will only give after Equality NC raises certain amount of money..  This is GayINC in action..

Just how many on this list will stab us in the back once in office???

Equality NC put out their list of endorsements today. I decided to check the party affiliation of the candidates. Not surprisingly it's 100% Democratic. When they Dems were in power, though they weren't perfect, they gave us the LGBT inclusive anti-bullying bill. As soon as the GOP took power, they gave us the discriminatory amendment 1.

GayInc forces ITLM off Air, Why???

In the Life is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) television newsmagazine that is broadcast on PBS. Premiering on June 9, 1992, it is has been longest running LGBT television program in history.

Their Tweet

ITLMedia Thank u for 20 years! Dec will be our last broadcast. Learn more about our new direction: bit.ly/Q5Du2a

On Wednesday, September 5, In The Life Media announced that the December 2012 broadcast would be the last. In a statement posted on their website, ITLM says it will work with other organizations to create a web-based archive of historical videos documenting the LGBT rights movement, enhancing the organization's online presence and hopefully broadening its reach.

I can only guess those in the “gayinc” circle no longer want to support this time of work. or the folks at ITLM group won’t simply, blindly follow Gay INC anymore.. May be these folk have seen the true GayInc agenda and its not pretty.. So lets all thanks Gay INC for this..

Children should't be subject to life long medical choices

Very interesting statement, which I'm sure the #transinc community will claim to be Transphobic.. in natural. There is nothing bias ...
