ACLU and Gayinc Sues School over a book that is behind the counter instead of on the shelf.

The ACLU has filed suit against Utah’s Davis School District for banning the children’s book In Our Mothers’ House in its elementary school libraries. Back in June, a small group of 25 parents petitioned the school that the book, which features a family with two moms, “normalizes a lifestyle we don’t agree with.” The school complied and agreed to keep the book off shelves, storing it instead behind the library counter and only allowing students to check it out with a parent’s written permission. The suit argues that parents can limit what their own children read, but that it’s unconstitutional to let them restrict books for everybody else.

OMFG, really ACLU is letting Gay INC run their offices.

The book is still in the Library at the school the official will let those children who’s parent agree to let them read it, to read.. so what is so unconstitutional about this??? I guess the teachers can get it anytime they like.. who just who rights are being violated by this.. None. But we all know that GayINC is destroying our rights to free speech one case at a time.

As Florida’s LGBT activists continue to await a court decision that could eventually negate the state’s gay adoption ban, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Florida has turned up the heat on the debate as it is set to launch a three-year campaign in coalition with a number of national, state and local organizations.

Actress Cynthia Nixon will be among the many activists scheduled to attend the campaign’s official kick-off at the Shore Club in Miami Beach on Saturday. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, state Sen. Nan Rich [D-Sunrise] and state Rep. Mary Brandenburg [D-West Palm Beach] will also be among those in attendance.

 Don't get me wrong, I glad that she is willing to lean her support, but in truth do these actors/actress really help us in the long run or are they just a cash cow item?

VAN NUYS - A routine trip to the Social Security office Monday turned into 30 minutes of shock, disbelief and irritation for Lapriss Gilbert, who was forced to leave the federal building by a guard who objected to her “lesbian.com” T-shirt.
As she headed for a line to pick up a Social Security card for her son, Gilbert was stopped by a guard who said her T-shirt, naming an educational and resource Web site for gay women, was offensive.

She said the guard, who works for a private company hired by the Department of Homeland Security, demanded that she leave the building or face arrest.

“As an African-American and a lesbian, I haven’t been through one day without facing some sort of discrimination … but this is just shocking,” said Gilbert, 31

Lori Haley, a federal spokeswoman for the office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement - which is under the Homeland Security umbrella - said the guard was out of line.

“We believe that the actions of the contract security guard were inappropriate and unacceptable - we have notified his company, Paragon, of our position in the matter,” Haley said…

…An attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union said that instances of sexual discrimination are rare in Federal buildings.

“I haven`t seen this type of blatant discrimination in a federal office building before,” said Peter Eliasberg, a family attorney for first amendment rights who spoke on behalf of the ACLU.

I bet this asshole who couldn't make it on the real police force still has his damn job, even after the complaint with his company was filed. These rent a cops think they can do what ever they want. This lady need to personally sue this asshole directly, name his company too, but go after him personally.
