NC LGBT’s kissing Hagan ass how..

Hagan only recently decided to back SSM, and the local NC LGBT Community goes ape shit for her,

On Wednesday, Hagan announced she fully supported same-sex marriage rights.

“I know there are strong feelings on both sides, and I have a great deal of respect for their opinions,” Hagan told Raleigh’s News & Observer. “But after much thought and prayer on my part this is where I am today.

NEWS Flash, she only come out after being Slam by the Huff Post for not supporting SSM. Like any ass kissing Politician she had to turn very bad PR into Good PR..

The Huffington Post home page, as of this writing, has a blistering top story slamming the remaining ten Senate Democrats who refuse to back gay marriage.  You can see a screen capture of HuffPo’s home page below.

now since Hagan has officially comes out for SSM, the local members of the LGBT Democrats of NC are raising money for her. Yes these “push overs” set a $2,500. goal, but raise over $2,000 for her campaign..

As LGBT Americans, we need people to come together and support the candidates that support our values. Sen. Hagan's courageous support of marriage equality will make her an even bigger target for the Republicans. As she's supported us, we need to support her! This gay's for Kay and I hope you are too! Even if, they only decided to support us after some very bad press, and after Two historic court Case in Washington DC were heard, over Prop 8 and DOMA..

Where was the LGBT Community, AWOL as usual

Well there was a rally in Raleigh tonight a joint rally of The Dream Act and DADT, however the LGBT community was absent all together, not one member of Raleigh/Durham area showed to add their support.

I can only guess once again the fucking sheep of the community didn't attend because they didn't get the go ahead from the so-called community leaders... We know who they are.

I guess if the self out whining Dan Choi was there, everyone would have been there.
Once again the community who wants equality for all couldn’t show up to lean support for another group who have the almost the same goal.

This would have been a great time to connect with the Hispanic community; this was an epic failure from our community

Week-Long Campaign Will Focus on Building Pressure for U.S. Senate to Repeal Discriminatory Law During Upcoming Brief “Lame-Duck” Session

Raleigh, NC – Today, DREAM Activists and Raleigh area advocates supporting the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” law announced plans for a local protest on Thursday, November 11, 2010. The Raleigh rally – just one of dozens of similar repeal events happening across the country during the week of Veteran’s Day – will focus on honoring the lives and service of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) veterans by building support and pressure on the United States Senate to immediately pass “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal legislation.

The last opportunity for passing repeal legislation this year will be during the upcoming “lame duck” session of Congress. The “lame-duck” session of Congress is scheduled to begin Monday November 15, and will adjourn when Congressional leadership have the votes to the end the session. North Carolina Senator – Kay Hagan – has previously voiced her support for repealing the discriminatory law.

The local Raleigh rally is part of a national campaign launched this week in many other cities across the country. Justin Elzie -- the first Marine in the nation to be discharged under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” back in 1993 -- and GetEQUAL -- a national, direct action lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization -- joined forces last week to announce the national campaign, designed to run the week of Veteran’s Day (kicking-off November 8 and lasting throughout the week). Young voters make their voices heard in North Carolina primary

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Tilden Hagan spends his days cruising college campuses trying to pick up students.

His line: Let me tell you about my mom.

Before they can answer, Tilden Hagan, a 25-year-old Duke University alumnus with shaggy hair, launches into a speech about the ills of America's health care system, lack of financial aid for students and slow progress in making energy green. He insists his mother, Kay

Hagan, can fix what's broken with America and tells them she needs their vote in the May 6 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate.

"I hope my mom sounds like someone you want to vote for," Tilden Hagan recently told a group of 20 young Democrats at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

First off I sometime wonder why these candidates would get their families involve. Isn't there a conflict of interest here.. I mean these kids who campaign on behalf of their parents are bias, because they want their parent to win the election that they are in.

We know she will do an excellent job standing up for North Carolina in the U.S. Senate. Her dedication, work ethic and energy are unmatched.

Now its funny to me because at least two of her kids were living in CA when she decide to run for  the Senate.

Now in the video he let it be known that he was living on the west coast.

When North Carolina Democrat Kay Hagan told her three children that she was thinking of running for U.S. Senate against Republican Elizabeth Dole, her son Tilden started wondering if he could pull off exchanging his California life for a Carolina one. 

Now Tilden went to Duke which is mostly white, with 52% of the college make up where African-American makes only 10% enrollment for 2008 and only 6% of African-Americans graduate in 2007, and his home town is 55% white; could this explain why Tilden Hagan didn't seek out African-Americans during his Visit to Rocky Mount, NC during RMT downtown fair call Downeast festival.

He was there campaigning for his mother Kay Hagan, I was there for 6 hours, in that time frame I didn't see him approach any single or group of African-America, I was told by a volunteer at the Democratic office in Rocky Mount that there was one African-American at the event with Tilden, this same volunteer also said that at time Tilden didn't feel comfortable around large groups of African-Americans.

Why was Ms Hagan Son shying away from African-Americans @ event.

I called the Rocky Mount Democrat office and ask to speak with person is heading the Kay Hagan Campaign. Told the volunteer that I had a question.  

I ask the volunteer were Ms Hagan stood for Africa-Americans rights and issues, most discrimination, in the work place and other. I was told that she supported them in all issues of discrimination and that she was endorsed by Obama. That is great an all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Hagan son today at the Downeast festival in Rocky Mount. I ask if that was the case then, why her son would shy away from single and groups of African-American and only seem to be concentrating only on Groups of senior citizens and younger groups of Whites. I was informed that there were a few African-Americans campaigning for Ms Hagan. I would like to know why her son wasn't embracing the African-American citizens at this Event, where he was representing her.

I was told by the volunteer that there was two African-American at the event as well, that if he did shy away it was that he didn’t want to disturb their fun, or he was comfortable about approaching the group of African-American if they look like a wild bunch.

Come to think of where does she stand on many issues?

When asked about the polling data that shows Hagan and Neal statistically even, Hagan spokesperson Colleen Flanagan countered with a Feb. 6 poll conducted by Public Policy Polling. In that particular poll, Hagan had 21 percent while Neal clocked in at only seven.

The Hagan campaign had no comment on particular polling data, but issued a statement through Flanagan:

“Sen. Hagan is working to give North Carolina a fresh voice in Washington — new ideas and new approaches to solving old problems. Her record of leadership in the state Senate is that of a problem-solver, someone who puts results before anything else. Sen. Hagan is second to no one when it comes to protecting all people from discrimination. Over the coming weeks and months, folks all over the state will hear from Sen. Hagan about her record and what she will bring to Washington, but more importantly, she’ll hear from North Carolinians about the issues most important to them.”

Q-Notes was unable to reach Flanagan to pose follow-up questions about Hagan’s specific support for issues such as marriage equality, employment non-discrimination, hate crimes and the military’s anti-gay “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. We asked for the candidate’s stand on each of these issues in our initial request for comment.

During a Feb. 25 forum at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Hagan told students she would leave the definition of marriage up to state law.
