So I got this letter in the mail… The Army is trying to collect a few thousand dollars from me for the DADT discharge. And then the US Marshals visited my gay Muslim friend’s NYC apartment looking for me (I used to couchsurf there.) And I have a colonoscopy tomorrow at the VA. It just gets better all the time, folks!

Please Lurleen, what emotional harm did they inflicted. They didn’t handcuff his ass to the fence did they. They didn’t force him to go on a hunger strike. They didn’t force him to give speech after speech, which he was being  pay for. They didn’t force him to come out of the closet.

Where was the LGBT Community, AWOL as usual

Well there was a rally in Raleigh tonight a joint rally of The Dream Act and DADT, however the LGBT community was absent all together, not one member of Raleigh/Durham area showed to add their support.

I can only guess once again the fucking sheep of the community didn't attend because they didn't get the go ahead from the so-called community leaders... We know who they are.

I guess if the self out whining Dan Choi was there, everyone would have been there.
Once again the community who wants equality for all couldn’t show up to lean support for another group who have the almost the same goal.

This would have been a great time to connect with the Hispanic community; this was an epic failure from our community

Raleigh, NC – Today, DREAM Activists and Raleigh area advocates supporting the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” law announced plans for a local protest on Thursday, November 11, 2010. The Raleigh rally – just one of dozens of similar repeal events happening across the country during the week of Veteran’s Day – will focus on honoring the lives and service of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) veterans by building support and pressure on the United States Senate to immediately pass “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal legislation.

The last opportunity for passing repeal legislation this year will be during the upcoming “lame duck” session of Congress. The “lame-duck” session of Congress is scheduled to begin Monday November 15, and will adjourn when Congressional leadership have the votes to the end the session. North Carolina Senator – Kay Hagan – has previously voiced her support for repealing the discriminatory law.

The local Raleigh rally is part of a national campaign launched this week in many other cities across the country. Justin Elzie -- the first Marine in the nation to be discharged under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” back in 1993 -- and GetEQUAL -- a national, direct action lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization -- joined forces last week to announce the national campaign, designed to run the week of Veteran’s Day (kicking-off November 8 and lasting throughout the week). Why is it always Choi

Of all the men and women kick out by DADT, Why do we always see and hear from this Asia Ass-hole, whom got himself kick by telling everyone that he was gay on live TV, other like other whom were found out, whom didn't out themselves...

I bet if the so called demigods of our lgbt leader, who are mostly old white rich men, whom might have slept with or hope to bed Dan Choi we would have hear from many other service men and women on this issue.

Yes Dan Choi has been ask back to work, how nice for him,but what about all the others who weren't ask to come back, whom have been kick out under DADT..

If Dan Choi was a true advocate to end DADT he would have made another stand and refused to return till DADT was Repeal and all LGBT people were allowed to serve openly.. I guess he was only thinking of himself... Since it was his big mouth that got him almost thrown out in the first place.

Dan Choi himself writes: "I was never fully discharged and have been substituting drills because of my schedule of lobbying and pushing for repeal. I attended national guard duty this past weekend beacuse we needed to train on critical skills for a possible upcoming deployment. My discharge is still pending, but I have returned to work  - and there are no instances of decreased good order or discipline. I sleep in an open bay with little privacy. No issues. Good to be back with my unit! - although I can still be fired at any moment for DADT."

How nice, he outs himself on National TV and then whine and Bitch about being run out of the National Guard under DADT. I guess in some cases bitching and whining does pay off...

We told Press Secretary Robert Gibbs last week: Get up to that podium for a press conference and the administration will be quizzed on on its failed pledges to the gay community. Like Don't Ask Don't Tell, which Obama is supposedly repealing. We say "supposedly" because, well, he is not. So "supposedly" actually goes to far. That's because Gibbs, in the above press conference yesterday, keeps saying the president is working with military leaders on an effective way to repeal DADT. Oh, EXCEPT THAT HE ISN'T.

Face it Gay American Obama is fucking lying to us, he fucking used us like Clinton did. He never had any plan on repealing DADT.

Gay ‘activists’ cave on ‘Don’t Ask’ repeal

Right on cue, our gay rights “activists” have begun backpedaling and lowering expectations regarding the incoming Obama administration.

Today’s Washington Times features an interview with Aubrey Sarvis of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network. Rather than aggressively advocating for an immediate repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” he is instead advising Obama’s transition team to wait until 2010.

That doesn’t sound like activism – it sounds like spineless appeasement. If John McCain had won the election and told gay rights advocates to wait a couple of years before addressing the military’s gay ban, we’d howl with derision at his homophobia. But because Obama is a Democrat, our supposed advocates give him cover. Obama promised to repeal the discriminatory gay ban, a position endorsed by scores of retired generals and admirals and supported by a majority of Americans according to recent opinion polls.

It’s 2008, not 1993. Times have changed since President Clinton caved to pressure and enacted “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” We will never experience the change that was promised if our activists accede to every demand of the Democratic Party. More than 12,000 careers have been destroyed because of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Why should brave service members have to wait years longer to simply serve their country openly?

There is no rational justification for prolonging the repeal effort any longer. No more waiting, no more excuses and no more cover for duplicitous, squeamish politicians from our timid activist groups.

What else did you expect would happen, there no GOP Ass in office to yell at and to make demands on. I wonder why they did back down? I guess they felt this issue isn't important for Obama to handle in his first two years.

In turn it will be forgotten in those two years..
