Things I have notice

Ok, where to begin. I haven't visited Qnotes in a long time.. Personally I thing they should change their name back to Queen City Notes, Since they are still only focusing on the LGBT people who work and live in Charlotte, NC.

I know this might sound petty, but if you are going to claim to be for all state of NC, they you need to PRESENTED,  the whole state.. However they still believe there is no LGBT people east of I95..

I was shock to learn that they long term editor Matt Comer has move on.. Im sure he is better off and I hope he is doing well for himself..

Now to my point,

They have recently posted a piece on the New Years Events in the city. But only Charlotte, other NC cities with large population of LGBT isn't listed.. I have to wonder why?

Now I'm sure Raleigh Bars are bring in the New Year in Style too, but why aren't they listed.. It seems to me that new editor in chief is following the old Qnotes playbook, Charlotte, Charlotte, CHARLOTTE.. yet the new editor isn't list on the page staff info sheet..

I can only hope in 2018 the Staff of Qnotes will embrace the entire NC LGBT Community, I hope I'm not asking too much.. We shall see whats to come..

Over at Qnotes there is a piece talking about the new Speaker of the House of the NCGA, and his anti-gay past.. I guess it took a while for Matt and NC Gayiner’s to put this piece together.

So Moore, supported the State Anti-LGBT marriage amendment, didn’t think a LGBT group at college should get funds.

he has this to say on the matter,

“At the heart of the issue was the belief that we shouldn’t use taxpayer dollars or student fees to fund a gay and lesbian group, as well as a lot of other groups for that matter,” Moore told the Raleigh paper.

He has stated that he would continue to defend the state Anti-gay marriage amendment.. So, now NC GayInc is after him.. what is he to do??

Here comes Equality NC,

Advocates for LGBT equality in the state said Friday they were disappointed with Moore’s comments.

“I think what was troubling is that Moore doubled down on his comments instead of apologizing for them at this point in 2015,” Equality North Carolina Executive Director Chris Sgro told qnotes.

Are you happy with your body? The folks at Qnotes wants to know. They have a upcoming issue dealing with that very subject. They even asking for people all shapes and sizes to sign up for a photo shoot in Charlotte for the very said issue.

The only Doma Protest in NC was in Charlotte, according to Qnotes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — About 30 community members gathered on Wednesday evening in Uptown Charlotte to celebrate yesterday’s landmark U.S. Supreme Court rulings on gay marriage.

“We’re here today to say that anything is possible in this country and that we have to fight for every single right we have,” organizer Lacey Williams said during the rally.

As usual Qnotes only reports about event in Charlotte while giving any other cities a food note in the story,,

As usual they leave out Greenville who had there rally which was also on TV. It would seem that Qnotes just don’t care about the rest of NC.. Only Charlotte.. I guess it would have been to hard to search the web for events in other part of NC, to find the list them too..

Before March 25th did anyone read in Qnotes that Wilson Cruz would be at ECU in Greenville?? I bet not, after 25th you might have.

They claim they didn’t know he was coming to ECU, and that they can’t be everywhere all the time..

But you can bet your last dollar that if Wilson Cruz was coming to Charlotte they would have been all over it, like ticks on a hound dog..

please Qnotes (yes I’m paraphrasing)said that the Eastern NC  was  waste of time any money. Since many location in east no longer gets their print issues, while they can be found on almost every street in Charlotte and Adult bookstores in Charlotte, Durham, and Raleigh.. and most of the gay bars all west of interstate 95.. (Fay, and Wilm isn’t really about of Eastern NC, they are more southern then east)

I just don’t under stand why a LGBT newspaper need to revisit the sexual past of the community, better yet even have a full blown sex issue. However Qnotes see a need where its not needed. Then again it about money and more exposure for a Newspaper that is hanging on. I’m willing to bet its on life-support..

This issue the folks at Qnotes wants us to revisit the 70’s were sex were not a life and death game. Where if you caught anything it could be cure by a few shots or a week or two worth of pills.

They even have a Poll asking “do you believe society will ever be able to again experience the same kind of sexual freedom that existed in the 1970’s.”

Really, if the truth is to be told its still happening, it just not happening at the piers, or the bath houses. Barebacking is still going on, gay men still are cruising the restroom and the parks. Gay men having sex where ever they can, some safe and other not safe at all.

Many of us know our gay past, do we really need it to be bought up at every turn and by newspaper editors just out to make a buck?

However Qnotes doesn’t fail to maintain it’s all about Charlotte.. With this headline title “Do Young adult matter to your Charlotte LGBTQ organization?” Well I guess now all of NC Gay Orgs are now in Charlotte only. It should have been “to your NC Org’s. Also, it seem all the LGBT training must also happen in Charlotte.

Yes for those who live in the Eastern Parts of NC, you don’t matter to Qnotes. yes, We are a waste of their time and money. (yes I’m paraphrasing a comment from Matt). However its not only Qnotes that believes this.. Equality NC does too, if they spent as much time in the East as they did in Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Charlotte and Ashville, the out come from Amendment One might have been different. Since those who supported the Amendment won every Eastern County but one.

GayInc will be the death of many of our rights. GayInc is slowly killing our rights to free speech, if you think they are not, then you are wrong. In Canada the song ‘money for nothing” was censored, yes cause it had the word Faggot in it. In the US anyone who doesn’t agree with GayInc immediately branded as a bigot or homophobe. Like recent a NFL Football player made a statement that there should be no gay Footballer player. This is his opinion which is entitled too. However GayInc doesn’t see this way.. 

I just love how Gayinc has to gay everything up, Like this head “Gayest. Inauguration Ever.” really, just how was it gay, please do tell. That right the President mention us and Stonewall and the right for us to marry. Just because he mention those items doesn’t make the Inauguration a Gay event.

Lets not forget how to GayInc if you are an Actor/ess and in the closet you must come out. Hell, GayInc have been try for years to out Tom Cruise, John T, and many others. Mostly Ed Koch, they are trying to out.

Remember that we are own worst enemy.. Also GayInc doesn’t like those who speak out against them.

Qnotes Poll: Would you read a Qnotes App?? even if you have to Paid???

Yes the folks over at Qnotes are brain storming on new ways to get Qnotes out the masses.. I really don’t know why since here lately Qnotes is only about Charlotte NC with a bit here and there of other parts of NC and national news..

They want to know if you would us a app for your Ipad, Iphone, Ipod, droid and tablet and if you are willing to pay a small nominal fee, per issue or as a in app subscription, wait a minute, who else has a  paid subscription thing for their blog. That right Bill over that the Bilerico Project. Why paid when you can on those very items read it all for free online.. Hell Qnotes once allow folks to download a copy of the paper via PDF download, then they stop that, and now are using ISSUU, which you can view online but can’t download.

They claim it was so they could better track their readers, bullshit..

First off I have been block (till I give an online apology to few GayIncers), which will never happen, from commenting on Qnotes Website and on Facebook, however this isn’t a big lost.

Recently Matt the editor of Qnotes wrote about a Rally and protest in Charlotte, NC. Who was the Ralliers and who were the Protesters?? It would seen that two local hate groups teamed up for a Rally, the Neo Nazis and the KKK. The Protesters were and is everyone who hate these two groups. The best part of the Protest were the clowns with their WHITE FLOUR rally cry, instead of WHITE POWER.

I’m glad that he cover the hate group event, but he basically bitch about that the local LGBT community leaders didn’t know about it or showed up to join in the protest.. of these two groups..

Now Since the Gay Agenda handbook have been lost, and we are just making shit up as we go along.. When and Where did it come to become that we as a community must show up and protest every damn hate group who comes to town??

Now the KKK and Neo Nazis have every right to hold rallies and hate who ever they like, just as we do.

SPLC have listed a bunch of Groups as Hate groups to kiss GayInc’s ass. Now why doesn’t SPLC take the list that they used to see who is a hate group and start judging some of our LGBT Groups.. to see how many fit their definition of a hate group.

I’m sure Matt would agree that I border on the line as a person of hate. Simply because I don’t follow GayINC playbook. Nor will I ever.

I see that we are forcing issues on folks, just like many of these hate groups do. Like the Lesbians who are forcing photographers, and land owner to host and photograph their wedding, Gay couple forcing Private BnB’s to give them a room for the weekend, Bakery to baker their special treats.. I firmly believes these folks sought out these Bakers, photographer, inn owners and caters who they knew that wouldn't take their business.

All so they could force these issues on them.. Making them the bullies now.

I have seen this type of action before and also read about it in the history books..

Our current actions of getting equality is becoming like what the Christians did to so many back in the day. Join us and do as we say or we will destroy you.. lucky so far GayINC has starting killing folks yet.. Well, that we know of..

GayINC via their many groups are slowing destroy our community.. We have Glaad who claim to be watching the media groups, while making under the table deal to look the other way on the actions of a few groups. Then HRC, who claims to be working so hard for us, why they are picking and choosing who to protect in our community.. and which group to throw under the bus to get some protection for the larger group..

But lets not forget my local Equality group here in NC,, i.e. Equality NC, who steal other people ideals and then tries to pass them off as theirs. Who did a postcard campaign to help prevent a vote on a constitutional amendment, but deliver the cards on the morning of the vote, which the senators at the NCGA didn’t get to see those cards from their constituents  at all. which meant it was a complete total waste of time and money.

Qnotes picks and chose which Events are more worthy to write about.

Did you know that every year here in NC there is two Pagan Pride events? However if you go by Qnotes the only main one is the one Dallas NC, the Piedmont Pagan Pride Day.

The two Pride are as follow, Raleigh Pagan Pride, which used to Central Pagan Pride and the Piedmont Pagan Pride, the Piedmont Pride is held one week after Raleigh’s Pagan Pride.

This year Lainey Millen wrote about this event, she wrote the piece on the starting day of the Raleigh Pagan Pride day. however as seen in the screen shot below Raleigh PPD was more or less a foot note. You see only those events West of Raleigh is important to Qnotes, those events in Charlotte gets top billing..

Yet they claim to cover all of the North Carolina, but the truth is that they only cover Charlotte, Asheville, Greensboro follow by Durham and Raleigh and if you live in Eastern NC just forget it, cause you are a waste of time and money.. They also cover any major GayINC events.. the rest just get foot notes.. in their paper and online.

also let it be known that the Raleigh PPD is much larger then the Piedmont PPD event.. this Year Raleigh PPD was the largest ever.

Q-notes redesigned site

As many might know by now that Q-note redesigned their site. Yes, it nice and cleaner looking, they added a calendar and few other interesting things.

However they still turn their nose up to the East. You won’t find a Eastern Tab under News at all. But this really isn’t New at all.. Eastern NC has been left out by NC Gay INC for years.. Even Now with a New Eastern Group built local relations in the area.. They still can’t get the time or space in Qnotes..

Anywho.. Life goes on..

Qnotes: It’s still all about Charlotte, Period..

While browsing this bi-weekly  issue of Qnotes I see that nothing has really changed since they got a new editor. It would seem the old one might have left a “do’s and don’t” list for the new editor to follow. I’m sure the first item was everything you print should be about Charlotte first and Eastern NC is a waste of time and money, so don’t worry about whatever happens there.. They are not a part of our LGBT Community.

Point in case, Race to the Ballot stops in Rocky Mount and Greenville North Caroline, the a word or a peep. Its seem that Qnotes couldn’t be bother to mention these events or waste newspaper space..

However Matt did do a piece on “race to the ballot” in Qnotes issue 02.04.2012, then O’Neale mention Race to the Ballot in next issue 02.18.2012 then nothing. Hell nothing about the Race to the ballot finish line in Wilmington, NC.

What is Qnotes issue with Eastern NC? Why does the past and current editor think we are a waste of time and resources? Is it because we don’t have large nite clubs, expressive coffee shops, or the fact that there is no adult type stores in the area.
