Another disaster is coming our way

Hollywood is rebooting Heather's, with a LGBT Twist.. What can possibly go wrong..

here

“Heathers” has dropped its first official trailer for the reboot series. The remake gives the Heathers clique an LGBT-twist. Heather McNamara (Jasmine Mathews) is a black lesbian and Heather Duke (Brendan Scannell,) identifies as gender-queer. The group’s leader is Heather Chandler (Melanie Field), a plus-size woman.

The cast for one, from straight and bitchy to confused and fucked up..

Ghostbusters reboot, FAIL
Rocky Horror reboot, FAIL, and the list goes on and on..

Hollywood please allow your writers their drugs please, we need new and original, not remakes after remakes, which never live up to the originals at all..

Things I have notice

Ok, where to begin. I haven't visited Qnotes in a long time.. Personally I thing they should change their name back to Queen City Notes, Since they are still only focusing on the LGBT people who work and live in Charlotte, NC.

I know this might sound petty, but if you are going to claim to be for all state of NC, they you need to PRESENTED,  the whole state.. However they still believe there is no LGBT people east of I95..

I was shock to learn that they long term editor Matt Comer has move on.. Im sure he is better off and I hope he is doing well for himself..

Now to my point,

They have recently posted a piece on the New Years Events in the city. But only Charlotte, other NC cities with large population of LGBT isn't listed.. I have to wonder why?

Click Here to read the piece for yourself. written by Jeff Taylor / Social Media Editor.

Now I'm sure Raleigh Bars are bring in the New Year in Style too, but why aren't they listed.. It seems to me that new editor in chief is following the old Qnotes playbook, Charlotte, Charlotte, CHARLOTTE.. yet the new editor isn't list on the page staff info sheet..

I can only hope in 2018 the Staff of Qnotes will embrace the entire NC LGBT Community, I hope I'm not asking too much.. We shall see whats to come..

The First College to Banned Rotc

Pitzer College in Claremont, CA, Pitzer's faculty-student college council passed a resolution April 12, 1990, banning future ROTC (Resident Officers Training Corps) scholarships and credit for military science classes, effective the fall of 1991. The resolution stated: "Pitzer College has taken this action out of the conviction that the current policies practiced by the ROTC, which discriminate against gays and lesbians  in military service, are unconscionable and are in direct conflict with Pitzer's commitment not to discriminate on the sexual preference."

SNT: Glaad this was a waste of money and time

Spanish Language Media: GLAAD Secures Spanish-Language Coverage of Proposed Chicago LGBT High School
GLAAD pitched and worked with producers to develop a segment about the proposed gay friendly high school in Chicago to the national news show Noticiero Azteca America. “Controversia por escuela gay” which featured an interview with a bisexual student and a lesbian mother aired on Azteca America on November 7. We also provided background information and a trained spokesperson for the local Telemundo news show En Contexto that is scheduled to air on November 25 at 10pm CST and will include a debate over the pros and cons of the proposed high school.
First off why should we as English speaking Americans have to provide the Latin/Spanish speak people with notices and papers in their language to communicate with them, if they are so hellbent getting to this country and want to live and work there then they should learn the damn language, if not then they need to go back where they came from, this also goes for the Chinese and Japanese as well. The last time I checked the national language of the US was and is English.

SNT:SC Equality hit hard by slumping economy

This is from Q-Notes

A statewide LGBT advocacy and lobbying group in South Carolina is facing possible closure if it doesn’t meet its budget requirements by the end of the year.

After the economic crisis, Drew said the average size of contributions was cut by almost half. As a result of the diminished income, the organization buckled down and shaved off every extra expense — a message made clear in the letter.

“In this crisis, the Board of Directors and I have reacted quickly and created a business survival plan,” the letter read. “We were already a ‘lean and mean’ organization, but we have delayed our strategies for growth, cut our expenses to the penny, and adjusted our fundraising plans so that we can weather the crisis.”

I'm sure this group has done a world of good in SC, for its LGBT community, now this group is need and where is the local LGBT? I'm tell you, many of the community who are in the lower middle class does have to watch every dime, but how about those in our community who doesn't have to watch every dime? I can only guess they are on vacation abroad, Paris, Cancun, Rome, and any other place where they can shop and have sex.

While the groups who are fighting for their rights here at home is going down. Its a shame that the community only want these group when they need them, but turn their back on them when they are in need

SNT: Hearing about this Pre-Op Trans man

Pregnant man Thomas Beatie has another bun in the oven: "Thomas Beatie, who is in his first trimester, tells Walters he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after Susan's birth so he could have another baby. 'I feel good,' he said. 'I had my checkups with my hormone level, as far as the HCG. And everything is right on track.' He says the baby is due June 12." this is from Towleroad.com.

First off this is not a man, this person is a Pre-Op Trans man, which mean he is still a she till she has her private parts finally cut out. So its really a woman who is have a bady. Ladeling it a man who is Pregnant is just a way to create interest in the story; which other wise would go unnoticed by the press. Really a woman who has child isn't news at all.

When a true male has a child that will be head lines, this isn't at all; nothing new here.

Bil Browning over at The Bilerico Project is Angry, with good reason

Click title to visit his post..

I do share his feeling on some of the items that he posted, but I must take exception to a few.

I'm angry that Rosie O'Donnell and her partner, Kelli Carpenter O'Donnell, didn't donate any money to fight amendments in California, Arizona, or even Florida - the state they supposedly loved so much. They take gay money with their cruise ships, but I guess it's too much to expect them to give back to the community that's always backed them.

Rosie has done enough for our community, it is right to keep asking her to fight in every cause and to give in every cause, she does have a life, and she is entitle to do what she pleases, no matter how we feel about it. Rosie has been on the front lines enough, just like anyone, after a while she deserve a break and to take some time for yourself. I have no problem with Rosie on this issue.

I'm angry that the first substantive post fellow contributor Pam Spaulding put up on her own blog, Pam's House Blend, was a "Don't blame the blacks" post to deflect the fact that African-Americans in California overwhelmingly supported Prop 8. I'm angry that some in our community will still blame African-Americans.

Pam has a point, you really can't blame them. Yes some will still blame African-American simply because they have always been made the scape goats all though history. To tell the truth no one is really to blame at all. There was just more bigots then family members and supports.

How I do share his view on this one 100%.

I'm angry that our community put so much energy and cash into California's marriage amendment while giving the other states short shrift. Arizona was the darling of state and national groups as the first to defeat an amendment, but this time they struggled to get noticed.

I'm mad that we put so much energy and cash in to this amendment, while we can hardly get anyone in our community to become more active on HIV/AIDS issues, like we had back in the mid 80's. Those who fought for HIV/AIDS in the 80's seem to be the only one today doing their parts. Why the younger generation hardy does anything anymore. Why there are member of our community out there trying to get HIV for some very sick reason.

And this one he hit the nail right the head.

I'm angry with Hollywood celebrities, producers, directors and other insiders who are as gay as the day is long, but didn't give to protect the community. I'm angry with liberal straight celebrities who kept quiet on this one while screaming their damned heads off about fur, the environment or whatever disease they've decided to champion only to drop after the cameras have gone.

Gay Hollywood, is the worst of all. So many Actors/actress who can't come out to help us, but want to hide in the damn closet, but don't mind getting down and dirty on the casting couch if it will help their careers. These A-list actors/actress who can do so much chose to only lend their name to a cause that will boost their careers and their incomes. I won't name names but they know who they are.

Now that the elections are over, its time to get back to the basics, we need to re-educate our community on the danger of BareBack sex. We need to get the word out that HIV/AIDS is on the raise again in our community, because we have gotta soft on this issue. Just imagine what we could do with 73 million dollars for HIV Education.

Equality NC, Gala

It's that time again when Equality NC hold its annual Gala. I'm sure this year will be another great and successful event. I must say that I have never been to one. I wish I could attend this year, but I can't for personal reason. So what is my beef with E-NC

This is one reason:

Individual Registration

  • Conference & Gala both at $150 ($175 after October 24)
  • Gala only at $125 ($150 after October 24)
  • Conference only at $50 ($75 after October 24)
Individual Sponsorship

  • $225 per person / $425 per couple
  • Individual sponsor for both the conference & gala with listing on our website and at the event
  • Admission to both the conference & gala
  • Register by October 24 for additional listing in our program guide!
  • Help make it possible for others to attend!

Special Rates for Students

Both college and high school; college or other ID required

  • Conference and Gala both at $55 ($65 after October 24)
  • Gala only at $50 ($60 after October 24)
  • Conference only at $15 ($25 after October 24)

Special Rates for People with Income Challenges

  • Conference and Gala both at $80 ($95 after October 24)
  • Conference only at $25 ($40 after October 24)
  • Gala only at $60 ($75 after October 24)

Special Rates for Members of our Equality Council

If you have pledged or made gifts of $1,200 or more to Equality North Carolina/Equality NC Foundation during calendar year 2008, you're entitled to complimentary admission to the conference, gala, or both. (Sorry, but this benefit can't be transferred!)

I can understand giving students a discounted rate, after all they are in school and have many other finical concerns. Then there are those that are finically challenge, but have to pay more than students.

What I don't like the Individual Registration and Individual Sponsorship costs. For additional $75.00 you can get your name listed in the program guide. Then there if you gave more than $1200.00 within this year you get in basically for free.

This part really gets me:

The board and staff of Equality NC Foundation are strongly committed to welcoming people from all income levels to this event. We have made every effort to keep our registration fees as low as possible while still rising needed funds for our work.
If this is true then charge everyone the same fee, even those you have given money over the year. Then it would be easier for than to help those you really can't afford to attend.

I' appreciate all the work those that Equality North Carolina have done, but I still wonder exactly whom in our community benefited; who are they working for?

SNT: Something from the past

The ENQUIRER broke the blockbuster news that Isaiah, 43, choked Patrick Dempsey, 40, in an Oct. 9 fight on the set of "Grey's Anatomy." And now we can reveal the secret behind the outrage.

"The melee has set off World War III on the show and may cost Isaiah his job," an insider told The ENQUIRER.

"The cast is divided over the shameful event."

As The ENQUIRER exclusively revealed last week, Patrick and Isaiah clashed over cast members being late to the set, right before shooting a scene at Prospect Studios in Los Angeles.

A heated discussion quickly escalated to violence when Isaiah snapped, revealed an eyewitness.

At one point, Isaiah yelled, "I'm not your little faggot like (name deleted)," according to the source. Those who heard him were stunned.

Because of the extreme nature of the slur, The ENQUIRER is withholding the name of the co-star targeted by Washington. During the brawl, an enraged Isaiah grabbed Patrick by the throat and shoved him a few feet.
Now we all know who it was Right. To me there is nothing work with that phase, it no different than saying "I'm not your bitch, bitch" which was use on Top Chef, from a guy to gal. What if it the phase was 'I'm not your faggot, faggot"? However that not point here. What is the point is that going to rehab bit. Please there is no such thing for defaming someone, which you must go to rehab. It should have been was some good sensitivity sessions. Please every out gay person and those who are still in the damn closet has been called a faggot or any other equivalent derogatory word. I sure the same can be said for our African-Americans members.

The only reason why Mr. Washington should have been fired is and was for the assault on Dempsey, which could have been classified as a felony.

What we need to do is own it, that's right let called each other faggots, when we meet each other. "Hello faggot, Hi faggot, bye faggot, what's up fag." Just as the African-American have done with the word N-word.

When I'm called a faggot, I reply Yes and what is it to you, or Yes, why would like some action.

Like Mo'Nigue, said about the word BITCH, "well give that word so much power", and we are doing the same for the word Faggot, hell in England that slang for a damn cigarette or a bunch of twigs. However just like Mo'Nigue also said, if at that time if that is what you were representing then you need to be called a Faggot, actually her term was Bitch. So as a final thought When someone calls you a damn faggot, simply reply I'm proud to be one.

By the way I love being called what I am, I'm proud to a Fag…..

SNT: Chris Crocker What a joke.

Chris's Myspace page.

Chris's info, via Wikipedia

Chris Crocker (born December 1987) is an American Internet celebrity and self-described "edutainer" who produces and acts in transgressive videos. Almost all of Crocker's work has been attributed to his being an openly gay and effeminate Southern adolescent in a "small-minded town" in the Bible Belt where his sexual orientation and outspokenness are a "subtext... rarely addressed directly and never completely accepted." The Tennessee-based Crocker, a stage name, keeps his identity and exact location private because according to him, and as seen in the public comments to his work, there are safety concerns and death threats in response to his YouTube and MySpace vlogs and profile. According to his MySpace profile, Crocker lives in Los Angeles as of January 2008.

Ok this one is one sick puppy. I can only hope that America doesn't judge all Transsexuals by this one. Personally I would love it if this slug finds his way back under his rock and stay there.

SNT: The Gay Agenda, Does anyone have an extra copy?

Is there a gay agenda? If so can someone please forward me a damn copy, it would have seen that mine was lost in the mail. Who knows maybe it’s my copy that found its way into the wrong hands.  I need another copy; I’m tired being left out and last on all the topics.
I know everyone has an agenda of some type. My new friend (I hope)Matt over at InterstateQ has his agenda, which I’m sure its fighting for equality for LGBT Community. The Ass-President of the USA has a very sick and personal agenda which is about to bankrupt us. I know for sure I have my own political agenda, But is there really a Gay Agenda?
The term "the gay agenda" was first used for political purposes in 1992 when the Family Research Council published a video series called The Gay Agenda as part of a pack of materials campaigning on homosexual issues and the "hidden gay agenda". I bet this is when my copy got lost.
Just who can forget this?

The similar phrase "homosexual agenda" appears in many forums from political commentary to talk radio, and even once in 2003 by the U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who wrote in his dissent in the landmark case Lawrence v. Texas that the "law-profession culture... has largely signed on to the so-called homosexual agenda, by which I mean the agenda promoted by some homosexual activists directed at eliminating the moral opprobrium that has traditionally attached to homosexual conduct.

I had no idea that my copy could have made it all the way the Supreme Court.
However our friends make this claim:

Groups such as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), an American non-profit organization, deny the existence of any secret agenda. They state that their major goal is to end discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations and to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons. These groups describe the term as a "rhetorical invention of anti-gay extremists seeking to create a climate of fear by portraying the pursuit of civil rights for LGBT people as sinister". Some members of the LGBT community consider their political goals to be too heterogeneous to be grouped together into one single agenda.

So I make this plea can someone whom might have an extra copy send it to me, via email in word or pdf format. I would appreciate very much..
By the way does anyone know where I can get my Gay ID Card, It would have seem that I lost that as well.

SNT: Genderqueer? What is it?

"Genderqueer" refers to individuals who self identify and may consider themselves to be both male and female, androgynous, being neither male or female, or falling completely outside of the gender binary spectrum.
This is for those that can't make up their minds what they want to be, Gay or Transsexual. Please pick one or the other and move on with your life.

This is what Wiki has to say:

Genderqueer and intergender are catchall terms for gender identities other than man and woman. People who identify as genderqueer may think of themselves as being both male and female, as being neither male nor female, or as falling completely outside the gender binary. Some wish to have certain features of the opposite sex and not all characteristics; others want it all. The term may apply to appearance, social behavior or a combination of the two; however, sexual orientation that is not limited to either loving men or loving women is described as bisexual.
Some genderqueer people see their identity as one of many possible genders other than male or female, while others see "genderqueer" as an umbrella term that encompasses all of those possible genders. Still others see "genderqueer" as a third gender to complement the traditional two, while others identify as genderless or agender. Genderqueer people are united by their rejection of the notion that there are only two genders. The term "genderqueer" can also be used as an adjective to refer to any people who transgress gender, regardless of their self-defined gender identity (see Alternate Meanings, below).
So basically if you can't find a group to fix, just make one up.

Obama on King's Day

On the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's I Have A Dream speech at the 1963 March On Washington, many are hoping that tonight Barack Obama can somehow recapture the excitement and optimism of that day.

I see another congress-asshole riding the tailwinds of yet another famous person, in his hope of being the Number 1 Asshole in the US.

I firmly believe no matter who is elected in the Dumbhouse, not much will change for our community, He is just using us like Clinton did.

Congressman attacks gays who support McCain

A gay politician has claimed that gay men who are planning to vote for the Republican nominee for President of the United States "personally don’t experience much gay discrimination."

Yes those are the ones who wants the "OUT" gays to fights for their rights while hiding in the fucking closet. Sneaking out to be with their boyfriends, boy toys and other behind their wife's back. Those that hide in the shadows getting their dicks sucks at adult bookstores, alleys, public parks and public rest area along the interstates.

Matthew Mitcham victory is ignored by NBC

This came from Towleroad,

More outrage that the Peacock Network ignored gay diver Matthew Mitcham's gold-medal victory because it wasn't compelling or historical enough.
I'm sick and tired of every LGBT community bitching about the press when they fail to mention a gay athlete's sexuality. I'm sure there are more important points and subject to talk about then his sexuality and his boyfriend kissing him.

I would like to know more about him, what are his likes and dislikes? How offer does he practice and workout.

It seem in our community to be apart of you must proclaim yourself as a Gay Actor instead of an Actor, Gay Singer, A Gay Comic, and A Gay Author, instead of Singer, Comic, and Author. But we don't stop there do we, No if we are in Congress they we must be Openly Out Congressman or Congresswoman.

So what if NBC doesn't what to talk about his sexuality or show a gay kiss on tv, all you have to do then is turn the channel.

Children should't be subject to life long medical choices

Very interesting statement, which I'm sure the #transinc community will claim to be Transphobic.. in natural. There is nothing bias ...
