I can only hope a a pill is in the works for these poor triggered people.. Indonesia is a unitary sovereign state, and can make laws as they see fit.. Yeah in a way this can be good news for the Indonesia LGBT community.. No App, no anti-LGBT people hunting down LGBT folks to beat up ro kill them.. What to do, what to do??? Some are never happen..

Equality is a nice dream, but will never exist.. Hell we don't even have equality among the sexes, do you really think we are able to achieve it among the races and sexual preference folks..  

Things I have notice

Ok, where to begin. I haven't visited Qnotes in a long time.. Personally I thing they should change their name back to Queen City Notes, Since they are still only focusing on the LGBT people who work and live in Charlotte, NC.

I know this might sound petty, but if you are going to claim to be for all state of NC, they you need to PRESENTED,  the whole state.. However they still believe there is no LGBT people east of I95..

I was shock to learn that they long term editor Matt Comer has move on.. Im sure he is better off and I hope he is doing well for himself..

Now to my point,

They have recently posted a piece on the New Years Events in the city. But only Charlotte, other NC cities with large population of LGBT isn't listed.. I have to wonder why?

Now I'm sure Raleigh Bars are bring in the New Year in Style too, but why aren't they listed.. It seems to me that new editor in chief is following the old Qnotes playbook, Charlotte, Charlotte, CHARLOTTE.. yet the new editor isn't list on the page staff info sheet..

I can only hope in 2018 the Staff of Qnotes will embrace the entire NC LGBT Community, I hope I'm not asking too much.. We shall see whats to come..

Glaad Bans the NY Post from it Gala

Glaad Media Awards will be taking place in Manhattan Saturday, this is just one of few awards galas that will be held this year. This year in NY they will be honoring Anderson Cooper, a once closet case to the highest order. They will be giving him the Vito Russo Award, and it it said Madonna will be presenting the award to him, how nice.

The New York Post, I guess asked for a press pass and it was denied due to the fact the NY Post doesn’t play nicely with the LGBT Community. More importantly they, The Post won’t bow down to Glaad, that is one reason too.

GLAAD was founded in 1985 to challenge The New York Post's blatantly anti-gay coverage of the HIV/AIDS crisis. More than 27 years later, the paper continues to defame the LGBT community with its sensational framing of transgender stories and its disgraceful practice of referring to transgender people with vulgar slurs. "The Post has been digging its feet in the ground for too long on this issue," said GLAAD President Herndon Graddick. "Transgender people, particularly those who are victims of crime, deserve more than the vile slurs and underhanded 'jokes' with which the Post describes them. Until this paper changes its ways and apologizes for the damage done, GLAAD has no interest in supporting their work."

Glaad is apart of Gayinc, which here lately is nothing more than a Bully Organization. They have been criticize for goes easy on those network that do bash or really make fun of  the LGBT community if the network gives them a very large donation.. Those networks that don ‘t gets their full attention.

NC GayInc is at it again : 2013 Town Halls Meeting.

I have been in touch with a few folks across this state about the Equality NC Townhall meeting, that were to be set up in January, which never happen, because it was more important for the whole staff of ENC to go to Creating Change in Georgia.. I can only hope they carpooled to save ENC some money..

Anywho, Chris of ENC now is trying to set up three Meeting in Three Cities, base on current issues in those cities.

The meeting in New Bern will cover the recent incident at a local Restaurant, where the owner was exercising his First Amendment rights.. The next is Greenville, to address workplace non-discrimination  and effort to protect them members of the community who works for the  the city. The third and last stop is in Fayetteville, where they want to address the recent discrimination of a Service member and her wife, about joining so member club there.. 

I have been inform that Chris has try to set the New  Bern meeting up via a third person and is having a huge problem with conflicting dates..

So currently no dates are set, but there is still time and I hope that Chris will get on this asap.

First off I have been block (till I give an online apology to few GayIncers), which will never happen, from commenting on Qnotes Website and on Facebook, however this isn’t a big lost.

Recently Matt the editor of Qnotes wrote about a Rally and protest in Charlotte, NC. Who was the Ralliers and who were the Protesters?? It would seen that two local hate groups teamed up for a Rally, the Neo Nazis and the KKK. The Protesters were and is everyone who hate these two groups. The best part of the Protest were the clowns with their WHITE FLOUR rally cry, instead of WHITE POWER.

I’m glad that he cover the hate group event, but he basically bitch about that the local LGBT community leaders didn’t know about it or showed up to join in the protest.. of these two groups..

Now Since the Gay Agenda handbook have been lost, and we are just making shit up as we go along.. When and Where did it come to become that we as a community must show up and protest every damn hate group who comes to town??

Now the KKK and Neo Nazis have every right to hold rallies and hate who ever they like, just as we do.

SPLC have listed a bunch of Groups as Hate groups to kiss GayInc’s ass. Now why doesn’t SPLC take the list that they used to see who is a hate group and start judging some of our LGBT Groups.. to see how many fit their definition of a hate group.

I’m sure Matt would agree that I border on the line as a person of hate. Simply because I don’t follow GayINC playbook. Nor will I ever.

I see that we are forcing issues on folks, just like many of these hate groups do. Like the Lesbians who are forcing photographers, and land owner to host and photograph their wedding, Gay couple forcing Private BnB’s to give them a room for the weekend, Bakery to baker their special treats.. I firmly believes these folks sought out these Bakers, photographer, inn owners and caters who they knew that wouldn't take their business.

All so they could force these issues on them.. Making them the bullies now.

I have seen this type of action before and also read about it in the history books..

Our current actions of getting equality is becoming like what the Christians did to so many back in the day. Join us and do as we say or we will destroy you.. lucky so far GayINC has starting killing folks yet.. Well, that we know of..

GayINC via their many groups are slowing destroy our community.. We have Glaad who claim to be watching the media groups, while making under the table deal to look the other way on the actions of a few groups. Then HRC, who claims to be working so hard for us, why they are picking and choosing who to protect in our community.. and which group to throw under the bus to get some protection for the larger group..

But lets not forget my local Equality group here in NC,, i.e. Equality NC, who steal other people ideals and then tries to pass them off as theirs. Who did a postcard campaign to help prevent a vote on a constitutional amendment, but deliver the cards on the morning of the vote, which the senators at the NCGA didn’t get to see those cards from their constituents  at all. which meant it was a complete total waste of time and money.

That is right Qnotes’s Editor Matt has written his piece about the Equality NC Town Hall Meeting concerning the anti-LGBT constitutional amendment, for which means that only one more will be written that will what the LGBT folks of Charlotte discuss at their Town Hall on the 24th of March.

He gave kudos to Pam on her piece that she wrote concerning the Town Hall in her area, on her blog.

Matt, did mention that there is a Greenville Town Hall Meeting set for April 6. However he didn’t give the address or location of the meeting.

So anyone whom might be interest in attending the Greenville Town Hall, now has to search the net for this info.

So what does Qnotes hate about Eastern NC, that they routinely ignore us as apart of the community.

There was a question about whether Gov. Beverly Perdue has made a public statement about the amendment. She has not, but has told ENC privately that she opposes it. [Pam - well that sh*te has to end. She needs to stand up to the bigots, LGBT NC taxpayers are teachers, state workers; people she's spent time talking about how important they are].

A few days I create a Facebook event for the Town hall Meeting that Equality NC will be holding soon in Greenville, NC.

Ok then I reply with this, and the return reply, even though I think he was being a smart ass.












So I really thought about writing the piece, which would be a challenge for me... I have seen Qnotes guidelines for submissions. So I knew it might be hard for me to do.

Then out of the blue Friday morning just a bit pass 10 am I got a nice little email for Matt, the editor of Qnotes.

In this email, Matt basically told me, even if I wrote the piece on Equality NC Town Hall Meeting In Greenville, he wouldn’t used it till I made a public apology to all of his so-called colleagues in advocacy and in news-media both in the state and nationwide.

From Matt, on the behalf of Qnotes:

I think a sincere, public apology and retraction is in order. Until then, I see no reason why I should give you a platform on the sites and/or news organizations I manage or own to draw attention to those writings/statements.

So now to report on community event you must not upset the status quo. I really have to wonder how Matt got this Job in the first place considering his age at the time..

The Great Chick-fil-A debate still going on Now in NC

This brouhaha began in February when this prissy kept boy, asshole blogger, whom has way too much time on his hands. Whom also has a very unhealthily obsession for Maggie and Brian over at NOM. Who visit their site and blogs every waking moment of the damn day.

He got his tightly whiteys in a knot when a Christian base company have millions to the WinShape Foundation.

The rest of Gay Inc., Bloggers and News outlets are pushing this so hard that it’s not funny. Gay Inc. and its minions won’t rest till Chick-fil-a files goes out of business. That is a main goal of Gay Inc., to get these Christian businesses out of business.

How Gay Inc. has got the colleges in their pockets as well. Gay Inc has now enlisting the LGBT college students in North Carolina to join in on this fight.

Duke University is now in the process of reviewing their relationship with Chick-fil-a, also the students over at NC State is also seeking to oust Chick-fil-a from their campus as well.

Also Gay Inc won’t rest till the freedom of religion is taken out of the 1st amendment.

“Providing food to these events or any event is not an endorsement of the mission, political stance or motives of this or any other organization,” stated Cathy.

Justine Hollingshead, director for N.C. State University’s GLBT Programs and Services, has indicated that there is talk among a variety of student groups on how the university should handle this situation. She feels that students, who have buying power, should have the last word on whether the establishment ought to be given the green light to stay or be asked to exit.

To Gay Inc. the only student who have buying power that matter is those LGBT students. All over Students whom don’t agree with Gay Inc. can take a walk..

Outgiving 2011 is now over, what is to come…

Yes the two day event where the cost to attend was $1400.00 per person is now over.

Yet still nothing is being said. What was talked about, who was there, and what new policies were created?

Will our NC blogger over at the Pams houseblend report what was going on at this very secretive meeting, or will be kept in the dark.

Gill Foundation Hosting Top Secret Gay Inc. Event in Miami

Yet our community is being block as a whole from this event. Why? No Press allow, there have been no tweets or Fb post concerning this event, not even on the Gill’s Facebook or Twitter or their Webpage.




Then why are we being deny to participate in this event..



Why are you blocking us from this opportunity to contribute to our community. Those that have been chosen are those whom have large sums of money. The working class gays are being left out, solely because we don’t have finical footing.

Outer Banks Pride, Baptist Church is Outrage, Not Surprising.

The Organizers of the First ever Outer Bank Pride Fest is facing Opposition over it Family Friendly events.

The co-founder of the Group that is planning the event said they are not move by the intimidated coming from Pastor Charles Tyler of a Local Baptist Church, whom claim this event is to Corrupt the local Children of the Outer Banks.

There is no Parade, just fun in the sun, with open-mind folks, enjoying the beauty of the Outer Banks.

There will be Day time events for the whole family, while there are a few evening events aim for Adults only.

"We're just slowly trying to change those attitudes so that these folks coming to the Outer Banks won't get dirty looks from people," Miller said.

The Event is set for sunny June of 2011.

"I think people that write anonymous crap like that are chickens," said Nags Head Mayor Bob Oakes, whose Village Realty is a sponsor of the event.

2010 Equality Forum Icons have been listed

Once again I feel that many of on this list simply best they are Gay and Rich,

Has the North Carolina LGBT Community lost it voice?

Once again an anti-gay, anti gay marriage group will be holding an anti-everything gay event in Raleigh this August. Once again our community leaders don’t want the local LGBT community to hold a counter protest; instead they want us to work with an out of state group. (freedom to marry)

Just when did we lose our voice and our right to hold our own events? Please can someone out there tell me this? What gives this group the right to act and speak on our behalf? Well, the answer to this question is very easy answered. We have allowed them to speak for us, because we no longer act for ourselves.

ENC is organizing a response for NC that works for NC; we are working with FTM to better understand what NOM is doing in the rallies around the country before they get to NC and learn from other organizers.

To better understand NOM, what a bunch of bullshit. Is NOM new to the scene, no? We have been dealing this group from some time now. We know what their tactics are and will be during these rallies.

"The NOM tour is a national event with national implications. It makes sense for Freedom to Marry to counter each NOM event.  I'm not saying let people speak for us but really come on now: isn't it smarter to work with each other instead of against? Why are you always so confrontational to friends and foes alike? "

So local groups and activist can’t handle a national group like NOM now, wow is there anything we can do.

Now I love this one about me,

You want unity? Maybe you can start by trying not to be such a divider.

This from our own statewide LGBT newspaper editor, whom a few months back wrote about the real estate crisis and only focus on Charlotte, Durham, and Raleigh. Like it was too hard from them to call or email real estate agents in the east to see how this was affecting our communities. I can only guess that day the phones were all down and computer were offline.

Theirs recent newspaper doesn’t even any business ads of businesses east of 95.(i don't count Wilmington part of the east)  I know in the east there are gay friendly businesses, from Greenville to the Outer Banks. However there is piece on ECU student union and their LGBT history calendar. I was shock to see that.

And, for the record, no one said you shouldn't plan a protest. It was just suggested you get in touch with a group that is already planning something.

Why should we (local groups) always have to team up with out of state groups whom have their own agenda? The last time I check we have our own equity group. Which didn’t even want the small protest that was held in Raleigh last year during the NC4Marriage rally, which was also completely ignore by every NC blogger and our own LGBT Paper? Our Equity leader basically didn’t do a damn thing but stood there with a blank expression on his face.

So Freedom to marry will most likely hold a rally in Raleigh this August, My question is how many of the 5000+ lgbt community members will be there?

Eastern Rising continues to Rise..

A small group met today at the local teahouse social hangout called the Tipsy Teapot in Greenville, NC. These individuals met to discuss the need of a LGBT Community Center and starting a local pride event. Although the group was small, many great ideals came forth.

The main issue was what type of community center it would be. Would it be an Advocacy center, an educational center, or a social event center?

It was decided that it wouldn’t be a full out state Advocacy center, since we had a great Statewide Advocate group already in place. Equality NC is one of our greatest Organizations in our community. The work and progress they have made over the years are untouchable by any group.

This Center would be a combination of an Educational, and local advocacy center. Focusing on the needs of the local community first. While providing educational outreach and other services that are needed on the local level.

The Center will provide a local voice for the LGBT community in Pitt and the surrounding counties of Eastern North Carolina. It would also be a watch group, that would monitor local government bodies to stay up to date on local bills and ordinances that are up for a vote, which might have a negative impact on our community.

Through educational programs focused on helping those whom need help to express themselves more effectively. This would be done through a peer-to-peer program where local confused teens and coming out adults can come and talk with others whom have been through the same experience. This would also include a safe space where the teen can talk about their sexuality with their parents.

The center will also have a speaker program, which we hope will improve our community. This program will provide open education to the community by communicating to interested audiences (schools and churches) what it means to be an LGBT. The main goal is to eliminate bias and homophobia within our local community.

The center will also be a central hub of many groups as well. Almost like a one-stop resource center. The Center hopes to be able to provide office space for the following groups, Pflag, straight-gay alliance, and HIV testing and counseling center and substance abuse support groups.

It was also discussed that we need to work with local groups, which already exist in the area, like the Pitt CC Straight-Gay alliance and the ECU LGBT Student union.

On the pride front, the ECU LGBT Student Union is already discussing this issue. They welcome the input from the community as well. It seems that their plan for pride is only in the planning stage this year, they hope that next year they will able to bring Pride back to Greenville.

Really, it is hard to believe Thanksgiving and Christmas are already upon us. But the Q-Notes staff is busy trying to put the final touches on our 2010 Editorial Calendar. When most sane people are concentrating on the here and now, our staff is looking into the future.
And this is where you come in: As we wrap up our next full year of features coverage, we want to hear your feedback on some of the issues and feature topics you’d like to see in Q-Notes. Maybe you want more travel features, or fashion tips, or entertaining and dining features. Whatever it is, let us know in the comments section below, or email us at editor@q-notes.com.

So they what their readers input, what they want more of in the year. This is very interesting to say.

I once criticize them for not including Eastern NC in their coverage, I now understand that they can only report and write about what is share with them. This mostly fall on the Eastern NC LGBT Community fault, for lack of a better word, cutting themselves off from the rest of the State.

This reader would still like to see more local coverage of area that are not normally talk or written about in Q-notes. I want to read about those members of our community who are not in the nation spotlight. Groups that are working on the local level that are try to create a more positive image. Groups that protest other groups that our so-called community leaders don't want us to protest, like last year went a small group protest the NC4Marriage rally in Raleigh. I know that in 2010 there will be another rally and an protest, I'm planning for that one.

More on gay parenting would also be great, not just from a LGBT couples but also from LGBT signals.

Over all more equal cover of the Carolinas.

Community Center and Qnotes

This week edition of Q-notes has all the information and event info for the Eastern NC LGBT Community.

Matt did a wonder job cover our local protest that was held in Greenville a few weeks ago. Hats off to Matt and the staff of Qnotes.

James aka Sick, is working hard getting the much need information and forms together to open a Local LGBT Center in the Area. He knows that this task wouldn’t be easy, but he is slowing working on it.
