How Cute, Qnotes creates a FB Event for Charlotte LGBT Center

Town_Hall_LGBT_Community_Center_of_Charlotte_-_2014-02-05_14.24.51

Note,

On Jan. 22, the group announced it is on the verge of closure and may shut its doors at the end of February.

This was attack a local activist in Charlotte who wasn’t happy with the way they threated him.. Cause a stink over close meetings and lack of Transparency.

I hope they have found a way to stay open, after this person bitch and complain, cause many to leave the center..

However, some in the community is already planning to create a new Center if this one fails..

Controversy over the center’s lack of transparency and financial problems have inspired at least one public effort to establish a new organization if the center should fail. About half a dozen community members under the leadership of activist Janice Covington say they have already secured temporary meeting space and are poised to create a steering committee to form a new organization if necessary.

Talking about stabbing people in the back..

Glaad Bans the NY Post from it Gala

Glaad Media Awards will be taking place in Manhattan Saturday, this is just one of few awards galas that will be held this year. This year in NY they will be honoring Anderson Cooper, a once closet case to the highest order. They will be giving him the Vito Russo Award, and it it said Madonna will be presenting the award to him, how nice.

The New York Post, I guess asked for a press pass and it was denied due to the fact the NY Post doesn’t play nicely with the LGBT Community. More importantly they, The Post won’t bow down to Glaad, that is one reason too.

GLAAD was founded in 1985 to challenge The New York Post's blatantly anti-gay coverage of the HIV/AIDS crisis. More than 27 years later, the paper continues to defame the LGBT community with its sensational framing of transgender stories and its disgraceful practice of referring to transgender people with vulgar slurs. "The Post has been digging its feet in the ground for too long on this issue," said GLAAD President Herndon Graddick. "Transgender people, particularly those who are victims of crime, deserve more than the vile slurs and underhanded 'jokes' with which the Post describes them. Until this paper changes its ways and apologizes for the damage done, GLAAD has no interest in supporting their work."

Glaad is apart of Gayinc, which here lately is nothing more than a Bully Organization. They have been criticize for goes easy on those network that do bash or really make fun of  the LGBT community if the network gives them a very large donation.. Those networks that don ‘t gets their full attention.

NC GayInc is at it again : 2013 Town Halls Meeting.

townhallsmall3

I have been in touch with a few folks across this state about the Equality NC Townhall meeting, that were to be set up in January, which never happen, because it was more important for the whole staff of ENC to go to Creating Change in Georgia.. I can only hope they carpooled to save ENC some money..

Anywho, Chris of ENC now is trying to set up three Meeting in Three Cities, base on current issues in those cities.

The meeting in New Bern will cover the recent incident at a local Restaurant, where the owner was exercising his First Amendment rights.. The next is Greenville, to address workplace non-discrimination  and effort to protect them members of the community who works for the  the city. The third and last stop is in Fayetteville, where they want to address the recent discrimination of a Service member and her wife, about joining so member club there..

I have been inform that Chris has try to set the New  Bern meeting up via a third person and is having a huge problem with conflicting dates..

So currently no dates are set, but there is still time and I hope that Chris will get on this asap.

Friday, January 18, 2013

Still no dates set for those Town hall Meeting by Equality NC..

AS of January 18, 2013, 3:04 pm eastern standard time..

not date have been set..

Equality NC_ _Making Our Voices Count_ Town Hall Tour_1358539263406

I guess they will hold them all with one day notice, which will resulted in low turnouts.. some outreach.. FAIL. Big time..

Equality NC has a Survey Out and need your Help

Equality North Carolina (ENC), in order to meet its 2013 New Year’s resolution to serve its supporters, communities and state like never before, is asking for participants in a quick survey.

ENC has promised to take the results and turn them into positive changes in how the statewide LGBT advocacy organization works for its constituents in 2013.

To join in the survey, visit equalitync.org/survey/.

please be completely honest, let them know their downfalls too.

Like these Town hall Meetings, which as of today still no dates sets for January, See here and here.

I can only guess Chris, Jen, Stuart are just fucking around or looking for someone else ideal to steal.. Hell they won’t even reply to emails asking about the town hall meeting.. I’m sure all these meeting will be at last minute with one or two day notice, which mean low turn out..

Tweets and Qnotes Editor, and a rant..

First off I have been block (till I give an online apology to few GayIncers), which will never happen, from commenting on Qnotes Website and on Facebook, however this isn’t a big lost.

Recently Matt the editor of Qnotes wrote about a Rally and protest in Charlotte, NC. Who was the Ralliers and who were the Protesters?? It would seen that two local hate groups teamed up for a Rally, the Neo Nazis and the KKK. The Protesters were and is everyone who hate these two groups. The best part of the Protest were the clowns with their WHITE FLOUR rally cry, instead of WHITE POWER.

I tweet the following,

OMFG: really@qnotescarolinas when did it become our job to counter protest every hate group rally#gayinc #kkk #protests

I normally don’t get a reply back from Qnotes at all.. But on this one I did get a reply, Shocking isn’t.. here it is,,

@sickntired08 We didn't protesting. We reported. Many#LGBT ppl were present & the groups are anti-gay. Seems fair game for coverage.

ok so he reply but didn’t reply to what I was really tweating about, I was tweeting about this piece that he wrote,

Lack of local LGBT response questioned after hate groups rally

November 13, 2012 in News by Matt Comer

he reply to this one.

Neo-Nazi, KKK groups to rally in Uptown today

November 10, 2012 in News by Matt Comer

I’m glad that he cover the hate group event, but he basically bitch about that the local LGBT community leaders didn’t know about it or showed up to join in the protest.. of these two groups..

Now Since the Gay Agenda handbook have been lost, and we are just making shit up as we go along.. When and Where did it come to become that we as a community must show up and protest every damn hate group who comes to town??

Now the KKK and Neo Nazis have every right to hold rallies and hate who ever they like, just as we do.

SPLC have listed a bunch of Groups as Hate groups to kiss GayInc’s ass. Now why doesn’t SPLC take the list that they used to see who is a hate group and start judging some of our LGBT Groups.. to see how many fit their definition of a hate group.

I’m sure Matt would agree that I border on the line as a person of hate. Simply because I don’t follow GayINC playbook. Nor will I ever.

I see that we are forcing issues on folks, just like many of these hate groups do. Like the Lesbians who are forcing photographers, and land owner to host and photograph their wedding, Gay couple forcing Private BnB’s to give them a room for the weekend, Bakery to baker their special treats.. I firmly believes these folks sought out these Bakers, photographer, inn owners and caters who they knew that wouldn't take their business.

All so they could force these issues on them.. Making them the bullies now.

I have seen this type of action before and also read about it in the history books..

Our current actions of getting equality is becoming like what the Christians did to so many back in the day. Join us and do as we say or we will destroy you.. lucky so far GayINC has starting killing folks yet.. Well, that we know of..

GayINC via their many groups are slowing destroy our community.. We have Glaad who claim to be watching the media groups, while making under the table deal to look the other way on the actions of a few groups. Then HRC, who claims to be working so hard for us, why they are picking and choosing who to protect in our community.. and which group to throw under the bus to get some protection for the larger group..

But lets not forget my local Equality group here in NC,, i.e. Equality NC, who steal other people ideals and then tries to pass them off as theirs. Who did a postcard campaign to help prevent a vote on a constitutional amendment, but deliver the cards on the morning of the vote, which the senators at the NCGA didn’t get to see those cards from their constituents  at all. which meant it was a complete total waste of time and money.

WOW: Jen of ENC on Town Hall Meeting

While she was doing her little race to the ballot, she only found time for Rocky Mount and Greenville. Now during their last campaign They gave Greenville two day notice for their town hall meeting that was held at the Tipsy Teapot in Greenville while other location gets almost a whole month notice. These are where the LGBT community numbers are at their highest level in NC.
Hell Greenville folks didn’t even get this email in time.

I still have to wonder what ENC has against Eastern NC, they only visit Easter NC only after being called out for ignoring the east. That is why we lost Amendment 1 in the East, except for Dare County.

The only place we won concerning Amendment one is those area they worked the hardest in,or had a college or a local ENC Office.

FROM THE EDITOR

We've missed you.

We mean it. It's been a few months since Equality NC [literally] ran the RACE TO THE BALLOT campaign to inform and mobilize fair-minded North Carolinians from Cullowhee to Carteret, and now we're ready to get back to the business of harnessing that great grassroots energy to make positive change in every corner of the state.

Join us for an upcoming town hall meeting in your area and don't miss your chance to:

  • meet and speak with the local, state and national coalition partners who led the fight against Amendment One;
  • get more involved in current efforts to elect pro-equality candidates;
  • learn about our important work on issues like workplace discrimination and parental rights;
  • and recommit to our shared goal to never stop fighting for Equality.

EqualityNC so-called town hall meeting. FAIL

1337459718129

I have found out that no dates have been set yet. That they are hoping to start with the East first. So they plan a thirty day event with no date set. I wonder just how people are to know when these events are happening.

I guess Jen Jones will announce them one or two days before the event. As they do with most of their event where Money is not be sought. Unlike their yearly gala with gets about two month notice making sure they get all the funds they need.

as of today 5/19/2012 no dates are set. on their site

Equality In Action

image_mini

Please join Equality NC Executive Director Ian Palmquist for a discussion on LGBT rights in our state.

There's so much going on with the NC Legislature these days that Equality NC is hitting the road to tell you all about it, and to enlist your help in what may be the largest campaign for LGBT rights in our state's history! We'll talk about the anti-LGBT constitutional amendment, as well as other policy that will potentially impact all of us who care about equal rights, and what you can do about it.

It's all happening on Wednesday, April 6th at 7pm at the Tipsy Teapot (409 South Evans Street, Greenville, 27858).

Please join us for this informative and empowering evening.

I’m so glad that I will be able to attend this event in Greenville. I don’t know who from Equality NC will be Speaking at the Event, it could be Rebecca Mann or Ian Palmquist or both, however I just can’t wait.

To do my part I had created a Facebook Event page for this Meeting, (click here to see). As of today there are 15 attending and 19 maybe’s. I hope for this event we can Pack the Tipsy Teapot.. I can only hope.  I can only hope that ENC will plan one of these event in Elizabeth City or closer to the OBX.. Where there is a small but very great groups LGBT’s that live in that area.. Their voices need to be heard as well.. AmendmentPostcard2011

Cause in this fight NC LGBTQA will need each and everyone of else.. to help to block these amendment from passing.

See this post to get your Post cards

I have been told all the Townhall Meeting will be lived tweeted with this hash tag #respect4all, for those who wishes to follow on Twitter..

So Eastern NC lets make this meeting count… Share repost everywhere…

SF bilerico bullying conference

Yes another special invite conference for bloggers in SF,

The Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund is a private family foundation established in 1953 by Evelyn D. Haas and Walter A. Haas, Jr. that has awarded nearly $390 million in grants to date. The Fund is located in San Francisco, California.

Heading this event will be Bil Browning. Apparently, he’s been endowed by some rich donor activist of the requisite skills in selecting attendees to this event.
bilericoholiday
From Bilerico,
Jerame and I are headed to San Francisco for the weekend. I'm convening a gathering of 30-some top LGBT bloggers, journalists, and newspaper editors to talk about major issues facing our community that currently don't get nearly the amount of ink as some of our more sexy and popular problems. The focus this time will be on immigration issues and teen homelessness and bullying. This is the second year in a row for the convening.
Thankfully, I don't have to pay for all those travel expenses. The good folks at the Haas Foundation are paying for everyone's travel expenses because they believe in the power of spreading knowledge. Quite a few bloggers would never have this experience or be able to sit and speak to some of the folks shaping our movement, so I'm really proud to be playing my part in selecting attendees and facilitating the trip. Plus, everyone invited can live-tweet, blog, Facebook, whatever they'd like; it's all on the record and there's no secret information!

While I’m glad this event was announced, and those whom might be attending can blog and twitter about it, unlike the Outgiving 2011 Conference that was held in Miami a few weeks ago..  However Bil is apart of Gay Inc., so the guest list won’t be made public till sometime after the event.

However just who are these lucky 30 people, Let see if we can find out.

However please note that these events mostly happen on the weekend, that is when most of these bloggers don’t blog unless something major happens, I guess its in their Gay Inc., and the Country Club, and insidersout manual and rules book.

These are the folks that I think that might there. tweeter hash tag is #haas11

When it comes to bullying, I’m really interested in knowing what all these paragons of equality are doing about it.
So, I’m  looking forward to Bil Browning and the The Haas, Jr. Fund’s transparency in this regard.
While I wait, I do have a question for the Haas Foundation, though:
Are they aware that Bil Browning has engaged in online bullying himself, that he has violated another gay blogger’s privacy and used his closet as a weapon,  and that he has sourced and or cited an anti-gay activist whose organization was recently cited by The Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group?

So is Bil Browning the the right person to handle this event. Yes he does have a history of online Bullying, to see this just go through some of his reply to comments that he doesn’t like. I see he is very glad that this trip to SF isn’t costing him a thing. I sure his after meeting events will cost him while he is in SF..

Note: unnamed blogger claims this is just another circle jerk with Bil’s Blogroll..

Outgiving 2011 is now over, what is to come…

    outgiving2011_logo
Yes the two day event where the cost to attend was $1400.00 per person is now over.

Yet still nothing is being said. What was talked about, who was there, and what new policies were created?

Will our NC blogger over at the Pams houseblend report what was going on at this very secretive meeting, or will be kept in the dark.

    other blogger had this to say about Outgiving 2011;

10 Questions about the Mysterious Event called OutGiving 2011 http://bit.ly/iiE1gV

    this was said about the last Outgiving;

here’s where #OutGiving secrecy does a disservice to the movement at large: Real progress won’t come as long as politicians, particularly Democrats, can rely on big gay money even after doing nothing to earn it.

    what about this question;

No press allowed? If Obama or HRC did this, there would a haterade for the next 3 months from certain bloggers and activists. Where is the transparency?

I know one blogger who would made it her mission to find out why. Yet she is now apart of this group, so I doubt we will see anything from her…

Once Again Eastern NC doesn’t Matter to Qnotes

After the Va Pilot did a story about the first even Outer Banks Pride Event, I thought that Q-notes would do a story on it well, just what, I WAS WRONG once again.

The following screen snap is all we get.

Bullying symposium, fundraisers slated « qnotes - north carolina south carolina lgbt arts entertainment news views_1299334682870

See some time back the Editor of Qnotes stated that it was a was of time and resources to include Eastern NC in their so-called Newspaper..

If this event was being held in Charlotte, they/Matt would have done a full page article about it. Made calls to the organizers the mayor and other community members living on the Outer Banks.

At last, the East is just a waste of time for Qnotes.. Once again, it was to hard for them to send out emails seeking more information, picking up the phone and calling the Town Mayor to see what he had to say about. I guess finger power is just to limited at Qnotes to fully cover a story here in the East…

OutGiving Secret Gay Inc., Conference in FL

For those whom might not know there is another Dallas type meeting happening in Miami Fl, this weekend (THE MIAMI AGENDA 2011). Two hundred people were email a special invite to this event. Then they had to registered for the event which cost $1400.00 per person. This Event was hosted and planned by the Gill Foundation..

ALSO NO PRESS WAS INVITED OR ALLOW…

One of NC own bloggers was invited to this event. Yes Pam of Pam’s houseblend was invited and went to this Event.

This was her first tweet about the event,
