Amendment Pass due to the huge failure of NC Equality,, only targeting Cities with Colleges East of 95, completely ignoring Eastern NC, where the NC Family Value target and won each of those counties. Lets not forget the huge post card campaign which was as a failure, they delivered the cards on the day of the Vote. So, the member of the House and Senate never got to see those card before they voted..

Equality NC basically help this amendment to pass, so they could use it for future fund raisers.

Yes they are, the cost is fifty buck, which I’m think about doing to get there, since no LGBT marriage equality isn’t doing anything to help our Community to get their. They only provide travel and lodging info that all, as usual they want our money and give us nothing in return

Once again our opposition have their shit together why our (lgbt) orgs play the like game on Facebook. yes our Orgs can’t help sponsor a bus cause they don’t have the funds, yet they have the funds to hold these expensive galas to ass kiss those in Hollywood and the rich old white men that are in the closet..

It would be cheaper for me to pay NCVC 50 bucks then to take a bus or train..

Yesterday Vote4marriageNC had a rally in Wilson were pastors and other pledge their support in voting for the Amendment..

I can only guess that our Orgs are only in this fight for the money...

Amendment 1: emails, tweets, other items

In a recent email from Equality NC they stated the following,

Your investment in the campaign against Amendment One to date has allowed us to mobilize thousands of volunteers, hire staff, open field offices and raise a substantial amount of resources to combat the misinformation from the other side. In short, hundreds of you have raised thousands of dollars to seed a million conversations about the harms of Amendment One.

after they let us know that national forces are mobilizing against us (like we didn’t already know) and they are force to ask for more money.. Which is always on the table and in ask in 90% of all emails.

So, they hire staff and open some offices in NC – not across NC only in high lgbt pop areas.

Going by that I can only guess that the direct mail is how they will be contacting those in the East.

My question is where did it go??? I hope that they didn’t spend all that on new offices and supplies, t-shirts, and posters? We may never know where all the money went..

They need money now for what they are planning to over the next three weeks,

We ask for your help today, because over the next three weeks we are making critical decisions regarding staff, television advertising, direct mail, and more. The latest Amendment One poll numbers show a majority of North Carolinians are with us, but we must raise the resources to mobilize these fair-minded folks and get them to the polls on May 8.

As you can see in the above screen cap, the offices are in central and western NC, nothing in the east. I have email them many times on this why they refuse to so any thing in Eastern NC.

However as of today it would seem that our bigoted friends are doing work in the East.

Yes, The VoteformarraigeNC is working the churches and one Bible school in the East to spread their Ideology of matter of marriage. So Where is Equality, and their meme groups,protect nc and Race to the Ballot, your guess is just as good as my.

Race to the Ballot did stop in Rocky Mount,NC and at ECU in Greenville, then they went south..

Why: Return America and the North Carolina Family Poliocy Council, two religiously based anti gay groups, will be rallying for the proposed constitutional amendment to ban same sex marriage in NC. Come out to counter protest.

Return America and the North Carolina Family Policy Council will be rallying in support of the proposed constituional amendment SB106 to ban same sex marriages in NC. Please show your support for equality by counterprotesting.

"Return America is urging pastors to bring their congregations, schools to bring their students, and citizens to bring as many family members and friends as possible to Raleigh for the 'Marriage Amendment Rally' on May 17. 'We are also asking every individual who believes in traditional Biblical marriage to make May 17th a priority day,' Return America states on its website. 'The future of our children and grandchildren may be determined by the outcome of this Rally.'"

Just so we're clear, these Bible-based groups are asking supporters to bring their children to a rally where they'll preach intolerance against GLBT people while they preach tolerance for their anti-LGBT bigotry. Just imagine if even one of these children is GLBT. What will go through his or her mind when a religious leader is talking about the "homosexual scourge?"

As Return America prepares for its rally outside of the North Carolina legislature in the government complex in Raleigh to push the discriminatory anti-LGBT constitutional amendment, Equality NC will be inside at the NC legislature, making sure these hateful and harmful voices aren't the only ones being heard. Sometime we as a community have to come out to let the people who attempt to sway our political representatives against us that we are here also and we matter and that we are not going to be pushed around any longer by hate and ignorance. Anti-gay groups plan marriage rally

Matt over at Qnotes has posted a story on the up and coming bigot marriage rally, that is set to take place the 17 of May of 2011.

Return America, a Wallburg, N.C.-based group headed by Dr. Ron Beaty of Davidson County’s Berean Baptist Church, is planning the event. It will be held on Hallifax Mall at the North Carolina Legislative Building on May 17. Attorney and Christian Law Association founder David Gibbs, Jr. is scheduled to speak at the rally.

The Davidson County religious advocacy group will be encouraging congregations across the state to attend.

“We are also asking every individual who believes in traditional Biblical marriage to make May 17th a priority day,” Return America states on its website. “The future of our children and grand children may be determined by the outcome of this Rally.”
The North Carolina Family Policy Council, a state affiliate of the Washington, D.C.-based Family Research Center, is also promoting the event.

Yes this is their first time here. They were here in 2009, March 1st, there was still snow on the ground when many of their supporters were bused in..

I did my parts, 1 as a local photographer covering the rallies, and Yes there was a small counter-protest there. After, I took my photographers 2, I joined my fellow LGBT members in their counter-protest..

I made my photos of this event able to few folks, and Qnotes was one of them, I wrote a few lines about the event, nothing happen.

So there are back in NC, not surprising really, but what is, is that our local equality group and a few national known bloggers still don’t want us to counter-protest. Fine,I suggest holding our very own Marriage Equality Rallies on the same lawn, ever that was stop down. I was told just call, write your local Representative in the NCGA. Please if your Rep is one of the co-signer or a GOP member who support the Anti-marriage bill, then what good will it do????

So its OK for us to Rally to show support for CA, when Prop8 happen, It was OK for us to rally against NOM when they came to town. Yet, We can't rally against a bunch of local bigots from our own state. Our Local LGBT leaders and Community Activists only want us to visit our state Rep in Raleigh, and talk what this anti-marriage bill would do to us.

Where the GOP is in power and trying hardness to return us back the fifties.

I want to know why we can’t have a Marriage Equality Rally, or a Rally to protest this Anti-marriage bill??

Yes we should speak with our elected officials in Raleigh, but if your elected  official is one of the many co-signer of this bill, what good will it do.

Equality NC whom have been leading this fight for the last 7 or 8 years now, is doing a post card campaign which I hope will do a lot of good. If we can gather 30, 000 thousand signatures on paper, guess what 30 thousand people showing up at your place or work would look like.

to me 30 thousand in the flesh live people could do and say a hell of a lot more then just 30 thousand pieces of paper..

I re-posted a post  from Last year NC4 Marriage Rally, where the group did bus people in, yet only 17 LGBT's showed up to do a counter, and our local LGBT groups/and blogger  completely didn't talk about.. I'm sure many of these same people where at the Day of Action last year as well..

yes even Pam didn't mention that a local (her hometown) group organize this protest.. See this our problem even in our community we don't support each other, but we are so willing to kiss Joe's HRC Ass every year. What is the fucking deal...

A look back, will this happen in 2010?

March the 3rd of 2009, the local anti-gay marriage group NC4Marriage held a rally in Raleigh, NC My partner and I attend this event. I search the web, local lgbt blogs and local lgbt org's site to see if a counter protest was going to be held. I found nothing, I sent emails, those whom reply simply said that a counter protest would do nothing for our cause. Yet we held supportive protest for those events in CA and other Major cities, Yet they didn't one a protest for anti-gay actions being held in our own State. Why is that? It was suggest just to attend the NC Equality Day of Action at the Capital instead. Which many of these same bigots also attended.

Once we arrive there was a small group holding a protest. Why my partner stay with them I walk among those who would deny us many rights that we should have. I took over 500 pictures of the group. I was only ask to leave after photographing a group of young ladies who was display some very questionable actions.

I when back to the small counter protest, just to find out I miss the local news reported whom was covering the event. i stay for a while but before leave I decide to return once more to the rally, that is when I notice Ian P. from NC Equality having a chat with these bigots.

I wonder if NC4Marriage will hold this rally again this year.

The things you find while doing research..

I was researching that crazy group in NC call NC4Marriage, I was wondering what they have been up too lately, well not much.. however I found out they have a Facebook Page (click here), So does Tami F. (click here) or just see below, Read her page before she private it... She just Loves watching Fox News... This explain so much..
