The Christian Double Standard
When we take our kids to our rally, they call it indoctrination, yet when they bring their kids its call a family outing.. or family Support.

Counter Protest Call for
Let's turn it out and show them there's more than bigotry in NC!
~See you in the streets,

What: *URGENT!*-*Counter Protest of "Return America"s Anti Gay Rally
When: Tuesday, May 17, 2011 10:00 AM
Where: Halifax Mall
16 W. Jones St., Raleigh, NC, 27601
Raleigh, NC 27601
Why: Return America and the North Carolina Family Poliocy Council, two religiously based anti gay groups, will be rallying for the proposed constitutional amendment to ban same sex marriage in NC. Come out to counter protest.
Return America and the North Carolina Family Policy Council will be rallying in support of the proposed constituional amendment SB106 to ban same sex marriages in NC. Please show your support for equality by counterprotesting.
From Return Americas website:
"Return America is urging pastors to bring their congregations, schools to bring their students, and citizens to bring as many family members and friends as possible to Raleigh for the 'Marriage Amendment Rally' on May 17. 'We are also asking every individual who believes in traditional Biblical marriage to make May 17th a priority day,' Return America states on its website. 'The future of our children and grandchildren may be determined by the outcome of this Rally.'"
Just so we're clear, these Bible-based groups are asking supporters to bring their children to a rally where they'll preach intolerance against GLBT people while they preach tolerance for their anti-LGBT bigotry. Just imagine if even one of these children is GLBT. What will go through his or her mind when a religious leader is talking about the "homosexual scourge?"
As Return America prepares for its rally outside of the North Carolina legislature in the government complex in Raleigh to push the discriminatory anti-LGBT constitutional amendment, Equality NC will be inside at the NC legislature, making sure these hateful and harmful voices aren't the only ones being heard. Not only have we begun mobilizing clergy, faith leaders, and families from across the state to speak out against the anti-GLBT amendment that day, we're empowering other fair-minded citizens from every corner of North Carolina to add to the thousands of messages, calls, emails, and visits GLBT supporters have already made to their local legislators demanding they oppose this discriminatory legislation. Please stay tuned to the action alerts of Equality N C to make sure you receive information next week on how you can get involved with our act-in against bigotry to let your legislators know that fair-minded folks in their districts oppose this bigoted amendment . . . AND we vote.
See the Return America organization poster below which is also posted on their web site at: http://www.returnamerica.org/

Sometime we as a community have to come out to let the people who attempt to sway our political representatives against us that we are here also and we matter and that we are not going to be pushed around any longer by hate and ignorance. Let's come out Tuesday and protest this event in our community. Contact Equality North Carolina to discover times and means of being involved in this. Now is also a good time to discover who your North Carolina Senate and House Representatives are and to contact them to let them know how you feel about the proposal to amend the North Carolina Constitution to codify that it will be illegal for Gay and Lesbian people to marry in North Carolina.
Please show your support with rainbow flags and signs!

WBC in NC today
I call the local PD and ask if the WBC had received a permit to protest. The PD officer told no permit was issued and they knew nothing about this protest.. Meaning either they (WBC) was going to protest without a permit and with protection..
Since I could get confirmation I chose to go to another event.
here Is the Press release of the said event.
I tweet the many members of the WBC, this is what I got.
I have to wonder what I tweet to her to block me.. I guess she didn’t like my truth.
then I got this one.. it will make you laugh..
Wow someone with a heart in this bunch. NOT NOT!!!!
They claim they were there, but we all know if they were, they would have made the local news. It did make the news…
here is the link, Please watch and here what the counter Protester was yelling to them.. and see the young Phelps bitches try to dance, a course on a American Flag, yes the same flag of the country they claim to love to much… I can only Guess Margie J Phelps lie when she said she was proud to be an American…
so I wonder why they didn’t answer the tweets seeking to confirm that they would be there.. I can only guess these cowards don’t really want the folks to know what they actually was going to show..
So I guess next time when they plan to come to NC and If I can get there I will be there.

The Sundance Film Festival announced its line-up for 2009
The Sundance Film Festival announced its line-up for 2009. They also discussed how the festival plans to deal with boycott threats and objections to screenings in Cinemark theaters owned by Alan Stock, who contributed $9,999 to the 'Yes on 8' campaign:
"Mr. Cooper [festival’s director of programming] and [festival director] Mr. Gilmore said festival officials were stepping carefully around demands that they cooperate with a boycott of businesses associated with supporters of California’s Proposition 8, banning gay marriage. The festival, for instance, will make certain that no film is screened only in the Holiday Village theater in Park City, operated by Cinemark, a chain whose chief executive, Alan Stock, donated to Proposition 8’s backers in the November election. The idea is to give anyone who has qualms about Cinemark the opportunity to see a movie somewhere else. But, given the dearth of theaters, programmers don’t intend to abandon the Holiday Village. 'We don’t have an alternative,' Mr. Gilmore said. 'If we had another theater we could walk down the street to, we might be thinking about that.'"
So, yes they're screening in Cinemark, and no, they're not choosing to show any solidarity with the millions of Californians who had their civil rights taken from them except offering them another choice. Separate but equal.
Sundance need to get a backbone and tell those who want them to boycott the Cinemark to get a damn life. this Boycott is really getting out of hand since the LGBT is pick and choosing which companies, people and churches they want to boycott and protest.
I wonder what our java drinking community would have done it a CEO of Starbucks had given money to Yes on Eight, better yet what if Absolute executives also gave money to yes on eight, what would our bars do, boycott all Absolute drink line.
Boycotting and Protest testing won't undo the vote this year, Its in the hands of the courts. We will just have to wait to see what the courts will do.

LGBT to protest Gov. Crists wedding,
Gay rights activists plan to demonstrate outside Gov. Charlie Crist's wedding to Carole Rome this month. The group Impact-Florida has called on its members to gather in pink T-shirts outside First United Methodist Church of St. Petersburg on Dec.12 to "congratulate" Crist and Rome while their wedding takes place inside. The demonstration will continue outside the wedding reception at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in downtown St. Petersburg.
So are we the new WBC, protesting happy events to get our point across. I wonder just how many will be arrested at this event. This isn't like CA, the lgbt community in FL never had marriage in the first place so how can you protest something that you lost that you never had in the first place.

Children should't be subject to life long medical choices
Very interesting statement, which I'm sure the #transinc community will claim to be Transphobic.. in natural. There is nothing bias ...
