FW: [Sick -N- Tired] New comment on SNT from Mr Anonymous from CA...

You just made my point the courts decided not the people.  Now the people will have their say, by a vote not by judges who are activists on the bench. Even if that ruling stand the vote fails, guess what your marriage won't exist outside of the state and it doesn't exist on the federal level, so what was really achieved.  NOT A DAMN THING, JUST A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.  Btw the fight for Marriage should be on the federal level period, once it is approve on the federal level then every state would follow.  Also btw, when you file your taxes your partner and you still have to file separate federal taxes don't you.

Wow, the sparks are sure flying off your axe today, aren't they?

Nobody is asking for marriage. A small group of people went to the California courts and asserted that the constitutional right to marry extended to gay couples. The court (made up entirely of straight people) agreed. Now the question before us is: should the people of California amend the constitution to take away that right? I say no, because like you, I want all my rights enforced completely.

SNT: New comment on Alan Viarengo. From Mr. or Mrs Anonymous Ass

Well Anonymous, I bet your fingers were burning to send that comment to me. First off I have been married once and I have a child. Two my current partner and I have been together for 13 years, We have done everyone that I mention in the other post. WE own our home flat out no monthly payments at all. That was my doing not his, I just didn't want to make payment after money for 15 or 30 years.

Marriage isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I will guess that you and many others only want the so-called many tax break that marriage afford you. While you are getting those breaks remember that when the relationship goes south you have involved the courts and lawyers that will eat up your money faster than coming to an agreement.

So now we are forcing this matter on world. I'm glad we have come a long way since Stonewall, however we are guilty of forcing our ideology on other just as the religious rights has been doing for that last thousand years. So we have now become no better than them. Forcing others to give us the right to marriage is surely not helping our public image.

So you have your ideology and it's not the same as others or mine. I would rather have the my rights enforce completely than asking for marriage. Simply because if we are able to marry doesn't mean we will have equality. We will still face discrimination from others. I'm also do you really believe that once we get the right to marriage that we will get societal recognition, I don't think so.

I would be delighted to call you an idiot, and any number of other things if you like.

Here's the deal: just because you don't want to get married doesn't mean only straight people should (which of course was the ultimate point of dear Mr. Viarengo's screed). Having the ability to have children, own a home jointly and pile up stacks of legal documents expressing our intentions may be sufficient for you, but it's not for me. Marriage provides a legal and societal recognition that surpasses these things, and I won't shy in saying that I deserve that recognition as much as straight people do.

In any event, the point of my comment was to lead your readers (if not yourself) down a path that would hopefully reveal to them what a tool Mr. Viarengo is, and how his letter is part of a larger pattern of petulant and illogical rants. Of course, if you'd rather they not learn that, you're free to delete my comment.

> btw every town has more than one idiot…

Wait! Don't tell me! You're moving to Gilroy! Say Hi to Mr. Viarengo for me.

SNT: Fritz has a great insight on the four homophobic firefighters in San Diego

Guys Fritz, over at Pam's Houseblend has a very interesting View on the San Diego Firefighters who sue the City for making them march in a Gay Pride March and forcing them to hear other scream how hot their are.  I love his closing remark

SNT: I just don't get

A legal fight erupted Tuesday over the ability of consumers to copy DVDs onto their computers, setting the stage for a new battle between Hollywood and a purveyor of technology that could alter how consumers watch movies at home.

The six major Hollywood movie studios sued Seattle-based Real Networks, asking a federal court in Los Angeles to bar the digital media company from distributing new software that they say lets consumers copy movies illegally.

If this is a major problem for Hollywood, then why are they including a digital copy of the movies on DVDs now. I have five movies that have digital copies that I can download on my laptop and if I wanted I could share them over the net.

Did Hollywood raise the same complaints when VHS video recorder came out..

GLBT History Heros :Del Martin & Phyllis Lyon

Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon founded the first lesbian organization in the United States and have fought for more than 50 years for the rights of lesbians and gays. On June 16, 2008, Martin and Lyon became the first gay couple to be legally married in California.

I'm sorry to say that I have never of these two great ladies till this year. In my mind they are GBLT Heros, not just because they were activists, but how long they were together in love

Alan Viarengo

this is the guy that Anonymous left on a post of mine, about pushing the Gay Agenda down others throats.

I guess Anonymous will can me an idiot too, since I agree with him. As a gay male I'm very critical our my community and who we are advocating for change.

I see that others don't like his views on many subjects however, it is his right to have them.

I wonder how long it will take before, if it hasn't happen yet, will can this blog anti-gay.

I can only state that If I really wanted everything the way the Straights have it, I would be straight today. Gays can have kids, joint bank account, joint ownership of homes, cars, and business, one gay person can leave everything to another via a will at his/her deaths. That is where most of our problems laid in.

If and when we get together with another person and decide to build a life together then they should take the time to legalize everything, go to a lawyer and get those medical release and power of attorney, get those wills written up, buy those life insurance policies and name each other as beneficiaries to get other policies. Remember all these are easy to change if your relationship goes south, less time and expense, unlike a divorce.

On a more Personal note, I just love that bike.

Children should't be subject to life long medical choices

Very interesting statement, which I'm sure the #transinc community will claim to be Transphobic.. in natural. There is nothing bias ...
