Yes this year Equality Conference and Gala Keynote speaker will a NC native.. I can only guess all the other big name dykes and fags or str8 supporters was unavailable this year.. or they wanted to much money.

We're proud to announce that our keynote speaker for the 2012 Equality Gala on November 17 will be the Reverend Dr. William J. Barber, II, President of the North Carolina State Conference of the NAACP.
Rev. Barber traveled far and wide across our state to educate folks about the harms of Amendment One and in so doing took a historic stand for North Carolina as well as the nation. We invite you to join us as we honor him with a special award for his extraordinary leadership.
