NC4Marriage bigots on Twitter

my post on the bigots on twitter is gettign under some of the bigots members of NC 4 Marriage, I have a large number of page entries on that link, many from this group SOUTHEASTERN-BAPTIST-THEOLOGICAL-SEMINARY, I have to wonder just which one it is.

I ave got a few strange emails as well, telling me that they are not bigots, and that they believe everyone has teh right to live their lives the way they want.

Well that funny since we would want the same thing,

then there is this which i think is completely funny'

rmlytle

This is the first time I think I've been called a bigot. http://bit.ly/W7j2s Does this mean I've arrived? from TweetDeck

he claims to be a Ethicist, i guess even other bigots need someone to trust, "An ethicist is one whose judgment on ethics and ethical codes has come to be trusted by a specific community, and (importantly) is expressed in some way that makes it possible for others to mimic or approximate that judgement. Following the advice of ethicists is one means of acquiring knowledge (see argument from authority)." So I guess his judgment  on ethics are only trusted by those who are nothing more then self-rightness bigots who wants to deny the same rights that he enjoys from others whom he has deem as second class citizens.

I guess that would depend on what you mean by "arrived". so which one is he referring to, to attain a position of success, power, achievement, fame, or the like, I have to wonder

A Stunning Senior Moment

thought i would pass this along,,

Statement of Bishop Burbidge and Jugis on the Marriage Amendment Bill

STATEMENT OF
BISHOP MICHAEL F. BURBIDGE, CATHOLIC BISHOP OF RALEIGH
AND
BISHOP PETER J. JUGIS, CATHOLIC BISHOP OF CHARLOTTE
ON THE
2009 NORTH CAROLINA MARRIAGE AMENDMENT BILL

February 24, 2009

My name is Bishop Peter Jugis and I am the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Charlotte, a jurisdiction that covers the western half of North Carolina. I speak today in my own name and in the name of Bishop Michael Burbidge, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, who is with me this afternoon, in support of Senate Bill 272 which asks that an amendment to the state Constitution be placed before our citizens declaring that “the marriage between a man and a woman will be the only legal union recognized as valid in the State of North Carolina.”

There are many here who can speak to the legal, historical and social dimensions of traditional marriage. Speaking for Bishop Burbidge and myself as teachers of the Catholic faith, I wish to address the scriptural and theological basis for upholding the traditional understanding of marriage in North Carolina.

“Sacred Scripture begins [in the Book of Genesis] with the creation of man and woman in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:26-27) and concludes [in the Book of Revelation] with a vision of ‘the wedding feast of the Lamb.’ (Rev. 19:7, 9) Scripture speaks throughout of marriage and its ‘mystery,’ its institution and the meaning God has given it, its origin and its end, [and] its various realizations throughout the history of salvation.” (CCC1602) Throughout the entirety of Sacred Scripture, marriage is always and only recognized as a union between a man and a woman. As a source of divine revelation, we believe that Sacred Scripture has made it clear that the traditional understanding of marriage over several millennia is the only one that should constitutionally exist in our state.

Our theological tradition of nearly 2000 years has consistently taught that “the vocation of marriage is written in the very nature of man and woman as they came from the hand of the Creator.” (CCC1603) This means that the very definition of marriage is tied to the biological and organic reality of man and woman. Their sexual complementarity is divinely ordered and the ability to procreate is an intrinsic and irrevocable dimension of the universal understanding of marriage. We believe this understanding of marriage is the only one that should constitutionally exist in our state.

In a rapidly changing society, many new ideas and concepts are offered as equals to time honored and proven beliefs and practices. Discernment and wisdom are necessary to distinguish which new ideas and concepts should be incorporated into our society. We wish to affirm our Church’s belief that men and women with a homosexual attraction are children of God possessed of human dignity because they too are created in God’s image. They are worthy of our love and acceptance. Protecting the traditional understanding of marriage is not intended to disparage our brothers and sisters with a homosexual attraction. Rather, it is intended to affirm a divinely ordered reality that cannot be changed because it is from God.

We join with millions of citizens across the state of North Carolina who believe the definition of marriage should remain the same as it has for thousands and thousands of years, that of a union between a man and a woman.

We ask our Catholic faithful throughout the state, other Christians who embrace with us a common belief about traditional marriage, and all people of good will to support this proposed legislation, to contact their legislators, and to join us in working for a constitutional amendment defining marriage in its traditional and divinely ordained meaning.

Thank you.

The Day the Bilerico Project went off line.

That night I wonder why I couldn’t connect to the Bilerico Project, I didn’t know then what I know now about this problem. I only thought that my ISP (embarq) was having problems again, since I lose my so-called always on connection at least 20 times a week. I simply put the blame on them since two other websites and blog I like to visit always wasn’t loading.

I got the same Facebook message about the Bilerico Project status as well. I’m glad they are back up and running. Also, glad that so many offer to help them out, way to go…

Now I don’t understand why the Advocate is calling this a “internet hate crime”, Most hackers hacker to prove that they have the computer skills to outwit those who built and write security software programs. Some Hackers hack simply because they can. No were in the article did they so proof that this was crime base on hate.

Bilerico.com, the site that hosts the popular LGBTQ political blog “The Bilerico Project,” was attacked this week by a group of Eastern European hackers who have been attempting to shut down the site for the past year and a half.

Ok, do we really know why they attack Bilerico? Even those at Bilerico claim these hackers didn’t leave a message anything to explain why they did it.

I believe the advocate called it a Internet hate crime to get people to read their article and to boost their sales. It seems that every action against us or other people is now call some type of hate crime.

Equality NC Day of Action

Yes I had planned to attend this event, I still might but for the moment I not going. After reading that the NC4Marriage is plannign to crash this event as well, I have decided not to attend not just because they will be there. It would seem that life is getting in the way once agian. Today mark the fifth day that I have awoke with a major head ache which my rx isn't working like it used to.

Once I get these headaches I tend to speak my mind without thinking at all. So I have decide to play it safe and stay home..

I hope this event is a blast and that success for Equality NC.

So go luck and have fun..

A Personal Perspective

It has been over two week since the NC4Marriage Rally in Raleigh. Alot as happen since then. The Marriage bill was introduce and so was the bulling bill.

But I want to talk about what happen at the Rally and the lack of community support for the counter protest that was there. Yes there was a counter protest of these bigots, this protest did make some of the local networks, yet not the LGBT community news network.

There were talks that we couldn't get enough folks to make an impact with a counter protest, other just want us the attend the day of action, that Equality NC is pushing. Yet a member of Equality NC showed up that the Rally to give his sound bite to the local media that was there. He did stop by and talk with the counter protesters.

Still to date nothing about this protest in our own LGBT Newspaper. Yes I know there are bigger issues then talking about this protest. However I'm sure that The Day of Action will get a full page or two in the Next Q-notes. I'm starting to believe that Q-Notes should change its name to Charlotte's Notes, since about 70% or more or less is about Charlotte and surrounding area. It seems to me that ever since The FrontPage merge with Q-notes Raleigh and east have been officially cut from the community.

I personally feel that our local LGBt paper is choosing which communities in which to write about the most, while leaving out the rest. I can only guess that we east of 95 are the ugly kids in the chess club, While Charlotte are the kids that are in the drama club.

GLAAD has lost their f-ing minds

WTF, what is next, I guess "Gay" will be offensive when the right wing asssholes find a way to use it the same way by calling us "HOMOSEXUALS".

Offensive: “homosexual” (n. or adj.)
Preferred: “gay” (adj.); “gay man” or “lesbian” (n.)

I'm sorry but being call a homosexual is not offensive, that is what we and I am So I guess we can't call str8 people heterosexuals then.

(see Offensive Terminology to Avoid) Outdated clinical term considered derogatory and offensive by many gay people. The Associated Press, New York Times and Washington Post restrict usage of the term. Gay and/or lesbian accurately describe people who are attracted to people of the same sex.

Well if this is the cast then so is Heterosexual and bisexual,

I don't know what wacky weed those  folks at GLAAD is smoking lately or better yet I don't know what planet they are currenntly on, but they are fucking everything up for our community

My trip to Myrtle Beach

This past weekend I attended another cheer leading event with my sister and her kids, one of whom was in this event. The event was being held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center right off 21st, st. Very nice place, not as nice as Charlotte Convention Center, but just as big.

This event was a two day event, all teams have to perform once each day. One team only had to perform once, since they were the only team in that group.

While we were there, there was event happening at the center at the same time. Which I had to hold my tongue, you see there was this Christian Thing happening, it was the Shabbach Youth Conference, Yes there were there all these different christian groups under one roof, just enough to make one what to go raging mad, most of these people were very rude to  the cheerleaders that were where for their events. One lady actually told one that cheer leading was the work of the devil. That we would burn in hell for wearing such clothing. Really these bigot just need to stay the fuck home, this lady is lucky she didn't say it my niece, cause if she did, I'm afraid i would have been arrested. I over heard what happen while standing in line to get my two day pass ticket.

One would have thought this group own the place the waay they were acting. See you had to walk their Event Hall to get to the two Events halls for the Cheer Event. The first wasn't too bad it the Sunday Events that was bad. Buses taking up ten to twelve parking spaces, vans and other cars and trucks with u-haul trailers that up two packing space, just because they didn't what park so far away. One Church Van was parked in two spaces at a angle I guess their didn't what to get side swipe, oops to lat for that one, One whole side was torn up from the ground up. I bet anything it was a female driver. I did notice most of these were church who are big time bigots. No matter what Shabbach says on their website, it was mostly baptists and church of god folks.

Shabbach Youth Conference is an interdenominational Pentecostal retreat where young people from all over the East come together for a high impact, spiritual weekend of worship ministry and fun.

We seek to accomplish two goals this weekend:
1. Inspiration

To set an atmosphere and create the environment through praise and worship, drama, and dynamic, anointed preaching of the gospel for a life-changing encounter with God
2. Instruction

To provide workshops and resources for youth pastors and group leaders to gain ideas for furthering their ministry and being able to continue the excitement built in their group while at Shabbach when they return back to the place of their duty

No gimmicks, only pure worship and the manifestation of God's presence and power along with the resources to provide the same atmosphere when you return home.

the only good thing was that they left before our events ended.

After the first day we when out and about the town, returning to the hotel to get ready again to go out.

I love the beach its about the only I miss the most about my hometown, no matter where you were you just minutes away from a beach, not here in Rocky Mount, the nearest beach is about two hours away.

although I went to Myrtle Beach off season, that didn't mean that there was lack of hot guys running around in short shorts mind you. Yes there was not so great weather for the week, but I can only guess they didn't mind the weather at all.

I got some great shots of the waves breaking onto the beach, some of folks having fun on the beach as well.

My niece has an event this summer in Atlanta GA however I won't be going since on this trip she will be going with another team mate, since her mother will be a cruise that week and I will be watching my other niece while my sister is gone.

i also wish my niece team would have won the national level, if they had they would have been able to attend the event that will be held later this year in Miami, Fl I would love to there...

I walk alone, by Tarja

Put all your angels on the edge
Keep all the roses, I’m not dead
I left a thorn under your bed
I’m never gone

Go tell the World I’m still around
I didn’t fly, I’m coming down
You are the wind, the only sound
Whisper to my heart
When hope is torn apart
And no one can save you

I walk alone
Every step I take
I walk alone
My winter storm
Holding me awake
It’s never gone
When I walk alone

Go back to sleep forevermore
Far from your fools and lock the door
They’re all around and they’ll make sure
You don’t have to see
What I turned out to be
No one can help you

I walk alone
Every step I take
I walk alone
My winter storm
Holding me awake
It’s never gone
When I walk alone

Waiting up in heaven
I was never far from you
Spinning down I felt your every move

I walk alone
Every step I take
I walk alone
My winter storm
Holding me awake
It's never gone
When I walk alone

What a statement we have here.

From Assembloge,

But our community gives to them. Why? Well, if I could be completely honest I would say that I believe it’s because we like to look good and show off and this dinner gives us the opportunity to flaunt the fact that we have that much money to spend. But there may be a few that really care about what HRC does!
— Monica Simpson is a community artist, activist & organizer in Charlotte

Well Ms Monica Simpson is there any other stupid ass remarks you would like to make.

Not every LGBT person has money to flaunt, this is a common misconception. I know it hard to believe after all those reports about our community that we have large amount of disposable income.  What a bunch of horse manure. I would said that their is a large number of LGBT who live off paycheck to paycheck.

Just to assume that we have money to flaunt is just wrong and ignorant.

I am beginning to think that our local community is spoiled and to a certain extent not interested in really doing grassroots work. It is at the grassroots level where relationships are created and the first rule that you learn as a fundraiser is that fundraising is all about relationships. So as an organizer or organization ask yourself, what types of relationships do you have in this community? Do you have the same “Circle of 5″ like Alltel? If so, how do you expect to grow or raise the funds that you need to do the work that you desire to accomplish?

— Monica Simpson is a community artist, activist & organizer in Charlotte.
While if the so-called local LGBT would support their community Center as they support the national then your local center would be doing great, Right. yet we know this isn't the case. Look at all that we have to do to get our community to come out for these events, Well maybe we don't have to work to hard to get them to come to a HRC dinner. Pride is somewhat easy as well, Since most of those who attend comes from other towns and cities, where if they are not out they won't be found out. Those would do try to work across lines of difference are most time met with " You don't know what our community need, or you don't know us." This is the case when you are dealing with other races.

The main problem is our community, our community in most case just don't care or do enough. Most are still in their 2 by 6 closets, other are out but not at work, then there are those who are truly out 100%, those of the ones who do the most for our community while the damn closets cases reap the benifits. This trend has to stop, if we expect true change then our community most unite 100%, or simply go back to the way it was in the 50's and 60's.

The question is now how do we get our community to give up their closets.. and Join us to make our community better and stronger?
