SNT: Not a free speech issue, I think it is....

Matt over that Q-note has written more about the county singer who was told not to come back to Reidsville..

But, we should be clear: This is not a Free Speech issue.
Let me repeat that, just for good measure: This is not a Free Speech issue.
Boswell is free to say whatever he likes, wherever he likes and whenever he likes in his private life. But when he is paid to perform, he is beholden to the desires and wishes of those who pay him. If the purchaser of his talent, in this case the City of Reidsville, decides she doesn’t like the talent or is uncomfortable with the content of his talent, the purchaser has every right of their own to choose not to pay for his talent again. That’s what City Manager Kelly Almond has done.
Ok, so the city hire them to sing for their event,

Was it written in the contact that his lyric must please all,

But he isn't the first signer we have bitch and whine about is he, a few can no longer play in clubs and other venue can they, a couple can't even travel to England now.. Yets they claim it not about free speech, then what is it about, I tell you what its about, its about not piss off the gays any. Cause now we are a bunch of whining ass babies, cry to big daddy (gov't) that we are being pick on..

in the 70 we came out of the closet, 80's we fought to stop aids, 90's we fought for full equality, 2000, we have become a bunch kids on the school yard during lunch time, crying about being call names... Names that we have hear since we can remember...

Community no longer support Community Business

For the second time this year, Charlotte’s gay community has lost one of its nightlife establishments. On Oct. 27, the owners of the Charlotte Eagle announced the bar was closed, citing the economic downturn and financial difficulties.

“We have done everything we could to keep the quality and service up to the high standards we have set for the club and our community,” owners Gary Skaggs and Frank Schuster wrote in a letter posted on the club’s website. “After countless hours and dollars to keep the Eagle flying we have had to come to a difficult decision. In this current economic climate and with a landlord that was not willing to work with us we find ourselves without a choice. The Eagle is now officially closed something we tried so hard not to do but we could no longer continue to keep the club open that we all love.”

It would seem that Charlotte LGBT Community is no longer supporting our family owner businesses.. True this isn't only happening in NC, but all over the Nation.. Local LGBT Bookstores are closing right and left, simply because our community would rather buy from online vendors then support our community Business..

Also many LGBT member these day rather go to a str8 bar in hopes they will be targeted and attack so they can get their 15 min of fame..

Quesiton of the Day

We are so Happy that the City of Reidville kick out an anti-gay signer, all over one song.. Great Right..

Ok, what will we do if this same city decide to support NC4Marriage and sign on to deny us rights.. Will we still praise them so highly???

SNT: Like I could care less who Lance is Bedding

I see that we haven’t move on and let Lance live his life behind the camera…

Let’s embrace acceptance, tolerance, inclusion, and understanding!

SNT: WTF is wrong with our community

City bans Country performer after anti-gay lyrics

What is our problem

The above image was a comment was I going to leave on this story at Q-notes but decide to do it here instead. The above story can be found here, here, here, here, and so many other gay blogs.

Yes maybe he should add the line, but want about the other racial that was in it. you the part of not working when able you don't eat, was that a anti-African American remark, about them being on SSI and Welfare???

No let just bitch and fucking whine about gay ooops queers can't get marriage and go some where..

Lets talk about our comments on this stroy

First those comments for Q-notes
Bill, saysid Hopefully, these bigoted musicians do not have children whose young minds are being poisoned by bigotry and hatred.,
JUST HOW MANY PEOPLE HOPE THAT WE DON'T HAVE KIDS AND EXPOSE THEN TO OUR LIFE STYLES,  SINCE SO MANY OF US HAVE VERY UNHEALTHY LIFESTYLES, ALL THE PARTIES AND DRUGS AND SEX PARTNERS IN ONE NITE,, THATS REALLY GOOD FOR THE KIDDIES.

Ted said, Bam redneck, ur done.
ISN'T CALLING SOME ONE A DAMN REDNECK JUST AS DEGRADING AS CALLING US A FUCKING FAGGOTS. SO WHEN YOU CALL SOMEONE A REDNECK  YOU ARE APPLYING THAT THEY ARE STUPID AS WELL

Corey Mondello said this ,
Is it just me, or do others notice than whenever “country folk” are in videos, town hall meetings or what have you, they seem to be the population that raises everyone else’s insurance premiums because they are do fat and unhealthy.
I don’t care what this man sings….he probably is a closet case, but it seems to me….these “Red” staters are the fattest in America and that should not go unnoticed.
WELL IF THIS IS HOW YOU FEEL THEN LETS HELP THE HEALTH CARE PROBLEM OUT, ALL FAGS WITH AIDS, HIV IF YOU GOT IT FROM HAVING  BAREBACK SEX , PLEASE GIVE YOUR INSURANCE UP RIGHT NOW, THIS COULD HELP WITH HEALTH CARE COST... SINCE IT COST OVER $2500/M TO CARE FOR A HIV+ PERSON IF NOT MORE.. COREY MUST HATE FAT PEOPLE, I GUESS WE CAN CALL HIM ANTI-FAT BIGOT.. SO PEOPLE WITH HIV+ ALSO RAISE EVERYONE ELSE'S INSURANCE PREMIUMS AS WELL.

Now from Pam's houseblend

I'm not surprised
I doesn't exactly amaze me that the woman was clapping at the lyrics. Judging from her attire she had just arrived from slopping the pigs and smelling of manure.

Very Interesting Quote...

While reading the listing on Alltop-Top GLBT News, this title post caught my eye,, "What is the Gay Community"

Is the gay community the club kids at the bars looking gorgeous and dancing until dawn?  Is it the activists whose feet are swollen from walking the neighborhoods asking for people to consent to our marriages?  Is it a singles’ group, a couples’ group, an HIV/AIDS prevention network, a circle jerk, a crafts store, a bookstore, a local church?  No, those are all just aspects of the LGBTQ community.
We are not the Club Kids of Bars, however we a collections of very unique individuals, who have the same goals and mind set. In most cases we share the same ideology to some degree. I would never compare our community to a damn circle jerk or a damn bookstore.

We are who we are, and what we are need no excuses or anyone else approval.

SNT: how stupid can one be???

What as happen when you can't express a personal opinion in private.. Then have some A-hole calling your local paper to bitch about you express your view..

This just in from Pam's Houseblend,

"Don't worry, they are not Red Sox fans," the broker reportedly said. "I don't care about that, as long as they are not Jewish," Tynan replied.

That line might - might - have been funny if delivered as schtick by the likes of Jackie Mason, Mel Brooks or Larry David. But Dr. Gold-von Simson, distinctly unamused, complained to her broker and reported the exchange to WNBC-TV.

The Yankees canceled Tynan's scheduled Friday appearance at the American League playoffs.

"I'm not anti-Semitic and I have never been in my life," Tynan protested, calling the incident "something misfortune, I was too stupid with my mouth."
So just who was so offend by that remark, who had to act like a whining complete total Bitch... I think we might have a winner here.

Yes this is the ever lovely Dr..I sure she has heard worst things said by a much better class of people. However I can safely say that she is a attention seeking person. "its all about me, ME ME ME ME, and only me.....

Read more about her here, and here. more here.

Its a sad, sad sad world when adults start acting a bunch of 1st graders telling teacher that they are being pick on...

This is from the NY Daily News,
Here in New York, Irish tenor Ronan Tynan - another guy who strenuously protests his good intentions - is being castigated for cracking an anti-Semitic joke to the wrong person.
Tynan, famous for belting out "God Bless America" at Yankee games, ran into a friend of his, a real estate broker, while he was showing apartments in his building to a pediatrician named Gabrielle Gold-von Simson.
The Yankees cancelled Tynan's scheduled Friday appearance at the American League playoffs.
"I'm not anti-Semitic and I have never been in my life," Tynan protested, calling the incident "something misfortunate, I was too stupid with my mouth."
Whatever you say, pal.
Tynan's apology for his anti-Jewish joke has been accepted by the doctor he offended, and he has offered to make a donation to the pediatric center where she works.

Now you see why she bitch so loud,,, he apologies and make a donation,,, just like a ***, complete money hogs.... Its all about the money.. wasn't it

Jon Stewart Takes On 30 Republicans Who Voted Against Franken Rape Amendment

In 2005, Jamie Leigh Jones was gang-raped by her Halliburton/KBR co-workers while working in Iraq and locked in a shipping container for over a day to prevent her from reporting her attack. The rape occurred outside of U.S. criminal jurisdiction, but to add serious insult to serious injury she was not allowed to sue KBR because her employment contract said that sexual assault allegations would only be heard in private arbitration--a process that overwhelmingly favors corporations.

Funny the US Claim that they can't do anything about because of Criminal Jurisdiction, yet they have jail many men who travel to other counties to have sex with underage girls and boys...

Mr. Leviticus Tattoo Douchbag

this is from Joe My God blog, click here to visit post.
After a 15-minute march down College Point Boulevard to the sullen or unknowing stares of locals, we were shocked to find a group of 20 or so counter-protesters, PRO gay bashers, already in a pen perilously close to the park where the rally was to take place. Leading the pro-bashers was Mr. Leviticus Tattoo Douchbag himself. He and his co-thugs wore stickers in support of the jailed cowards as they shouted "Free Daniel Rodriquez!" and "No hate crime!" Among their signs was "Daniel doesn't hate gays!" Riiiight. Fortunately, there was a huge NYPD presence on hand and the two groups were not permitted to get closer than shouting distance.
So times I'm thankful for living in low volence area in the State, while other area it seem that the local LGBT community is under attack almost everyday by these bigots and complete assholes..

Now that this person below,

Just going by the looks of this guy, I would be he is the type of asshole, who wouldn't mind having a guy suck him off at the local Adult Book G-hole, when he girl won't give him any for a while..

Intersex vs Transexuals

I love when we fight among ourselves over these issues, simply because neither side ever truly wins..

Over at Q-notes they have this great piece " A tale of two stories", very interesting, a true must read, Robbi Cohn did a great job.
Given increased press coverage trans issues have garnered over the past five years, I remain skeptical regarding the media’s ability and/or desire to report fairly and objectively. Any fiction that much of the collective press desires objective reporting or that it isn’t exhibitionistic is destroyed in the wake of the contrast between these two stories. As to ability, the misuse of pronouns and nomenclature by various and sundry publications is rampant. This is either ignorant (AP and other stylebooks have been updated for some time now), or a flagrant disregard for human dignity.
Well Marie had this to say,
I’m starting to get tired of trans people piggy backing off of the Semenya case, it’s not the same thing to be intersex and to be transexual. Intersex people have legitimate medical reasons for being between two genders, trans people do not.
Yes to say that her comment has start something is a bit of an understatement. However I must agree with her there is world's different between between the two. One is a physical medical reasons while the other is in other words a mental issue. I know even the mental issue is a serious one, that can't be change with drugs or therapy.

Still Transsexual still have a place within our community, they should and are entitle to share in Legal protection under the law.

Montana judges smack down parental rights

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Legal/Default.aspx?id=719520

Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 10/13/2009 6:00:00 AM

The Montana Supreme Court has granted parental rights to a non-parent.

For ten years, two women lived together in a lesbian relationship, during which one of them -- Barbara Maniaci -- solely adopted two children. But in 2006, Maniaci left her roommate and the homosexual lifestyle, and later married a man. Following the break-up, the former roommate sued for -- and now has won -- parental rights.

Austin Nimocks, senior legal counsel with the Alliance Defense Fund, tells OneNewsNow that Montana's highest court decided to uphold the demands of a legal stranger.

"What the Montana Supreme Court did was give a third party -- the parent's former roommate and girlfriend -- parental rights...," says the attorney. "And it runs contrary to clear precedent dating back several years in Montana and the United States Supreme Court. [It's] a very, very disturbing decision."

FamilyHe says that historically courts have upheld the rights of "fit natural" parents. "When we undermine the rights of fit natural parents, it causes harm to families and children," argues Nimocks. "Giving strangers and third parties access to kids is not in the best interest of children or families."

In making the decision, Nimocks contends the court undermines the rights of parents to control the upbringing of their children and to make sure that their authority is the final authority.

One of the dissenting judges in Montana wrote that the decision in favor of a third party "will open a Pandora's Box of potential attacks upon the right of fit and capable parents to raise their own children."

Let’s embrace acceptance, tolerance, inclusion, and understanding!

James B of WTF Blog is messing with NOM on Facebook

From James's Blog

They said “There’s a storm coming”
Now its OUR TURN.

Time and time again we wonder how such hateful organizations such as the National Organization For Marriage gain and keep followers (we call them sheep).

Offline, they get them in churches, but online its with social networking sites, Facebook and Myspace.
Now think for a second, they control what they want its sheep to hear offline, how do they do it online?
Easy.

They control whats permitted onto their group pages.

If you go into their group and and say you have been with your partner of 10 years, have children and would love to get married, they will erase your post…do you think the same happens to the post where you promptly get called a child molester and a pervert?
No.

Whats beautiful about this, is that by allowing this, they are breaking Facebooks “Statement of Rights and Responsibilities

Section 3.7 clearly states:
You will not post content that is hateful, threatening, pornographic, or that contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.

Section 3.10
You will not use Facebook to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.
Do you like the fact that they are allowed to break the rules and will continue to do so until WE complain?
Do you like the fact they are using propaganda to take away your rights?

Please join the group, and HELP get NOM banned from Facebook, if they are banned from Facebook they are unable to to spread hate and propaganda, this will HELP the LGBT get the rights they DESERVE!

It would seem James is Piss because NOM deleted his post from their fanpage, that is their rights, he claim they are breaking Facebook Rules. Lets be honest many of us have written things on Facebook which wasn't 100% true. We have posted photos which are not are to use.

Now James has taken his message from his blog to facebook, hoping many of his fans will do as he ask them to. to report them and get facebook to remove them...

Week one of the GLBT history Icons

Ok, week one of History GLBT icons from the Equality Forum is up. these are the Icons for the first week
  1. Alvin Ailey Jr.
  2. John Amaechi
  3. Tammy Baldwin
  4. John Cage
  5. Ruth Ellis
  6. Rainer Fassbinder
  7. Michel Foucault
Ok, I would like to say, just being gay or a lesbian, should not be a deciding factors for being on this list, since I'm gay and I know I will not be this list as many other truly gifted LGBT's will never be on this list as well.

Alvin Ailey was a Choreographer, going by the bio from EF, he really didn't do anything from the gay community, he did do a lot for the African-American community. I don't support this one

John Amaechi, is on this list because he came out after he retired from professional sports, not while he was still in the sport, where he could have done much more for LGBT athletes. I support this one.

Tammy Baldwin the first out lesbian elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. I support this one

John Cage was a Composer, that is his claim to this icon status, EF doesn't list anything directly he has done for the community, I don't support one

Ruth Ellis who lived to be 101, was credited with being the oldest known lesbian and GLBT civil rights activist. I completely support this one, she dare to right by the community when in a time where she could have lost every.

Rainer Fassbinder a Film Director, who made many LGBT theme movies, when many other director wouldn't touch a LGBT theme movie with a ten foot pole, I support this one.

Michel Foucault was a French philosopher, who was writing about sexuality before his did. I support this one.

So out of this list I support five of these icons, the other two I don't, I feel they are on this list just soley they were gay and known in there field of work only, not for any other reason giving by the Equality Forum group.

These Icons should members of the community who support us, whom were activists, out in their lives, true equality fighters. not simply because they were gay.

so just how where these icons selected ,

The 31 Icons, living or dead, are selected for their achievements in their field of endeavor, their status as a national hero, or their significant contribution to GLBT civil rights. Equality Forum solicits nominations from state, national and international organizations and activists.

So you can be an icon if you are a very good gay dancer, composer, singer, and so go. You must also be a national known person to some degree as well. I wonder what the other 22 icons will bring to the table..

Hate CrimeBill and the Obama HRC dinner Speech

Just in from Joe My God,

Last night the House of Representatives voted down a GOP motion to strip the hate crimes act from the defense authorization bill to which it's attached. The vote was 234-178, virtually exactly along party lines. Tomorrow the House will see a final conference vote on the bill, after which the Senate will see a conference vote before the bill lands on Obama's desk. That may not happen until next week, but there appears to be a chance that President Obama may have something very nice in his pocket when he appears at the HRC dinner on Saturday. Below, Barney Frank defends attaching the hate crimes act to the DOD authorization.
I would not be surprise that this bill will be pass by the end of the week, and for Obama to Use it in speech at the HRC dinner, where he will either sign the bill or tell those rich ass HRC dinner guest, that he will sign the bill first thing Monday morning. To show that he is keeping his word..

HRC Gala to be PROTESED by Pro LGBT group and Westboro Church, WOW

I wonder just whom the HRC will be fucking over this time, to get our so-call Change President to attend this fucking dinner for the stupid white fucks in DC..

HRC and Joe need to go.. better yet get JOE the fuck out of HRC,, He is over paid for JOB he sucks at..
What is below was taken from LGBT POV
Longtime activist Andy Thayer is angry and he’s taking his anger from Chicago to Washington. Thayer, you may remember, co-founded the effective online StopDrLaura campaign with fellow activist Robin Tyler, among other actions.

Here’s the press release he sent out this morning:
Pro-LGBT Picket of Obama This Saturday Moved from White House to HRC Gala
In reaction to the announcement yesterday that President Obama will address a black tie fundraising gala of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) on Saturday, October 10th, organizers of a pro-LGBT picket originally scheduled for that night at the White House have instead moved the picket to the site of the HRC gala. The picket will begin at 6 PM in front of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, on the northeast corner of Mt Vernon Place NW and 9th Street NW, Washington, DC.
While the picket organizers will be participating in the Sunday, Oct. 11th Equality March, they charge that the march organizers have been going easy on the Obama administration and the Democratic Party in general.  Barack Obama was long on pro-gay promises during the campaign, they say, yet short on delivering on them once he took power in late January.
“The time for talking is over,” said Andy Thayer of the Chicago-based Gay Liberation Network (www.GayLiberation.net), one of the two organizations sponsoring the picket.  “This President promised to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), he promised to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, he promised to pass the pro-LGBT Employment Non-Discrimination Act and a whole host of other things.  Instead, he’s delivered on nothing while embracing anti-gay bigots Rick Warren and Donnie McClurkin.  The last thing we need is more flowery rhetoric in front of rich, self-effacing gays and lesbians dressed up like penguins.”
The picket is cosponsored by the Dallas-based direct action group, Queer Liberaction (queerliberaction.moonfruit.com), a group which played a leading role in organizing an effective community response to the violent police raid on a Fort Worth bar.  ”The Obama administration has likened LGBT relationships to incest and bestiality,” said Queer Liberaction co-founder Blake Wilkenson.  “He cited his ‘Christian beliefs’ for the reason why he now opposes equal marriage rights for same-sex couples.  He refuses issue a stop-loss order to prevent purges of lesbian and gay soldiers.  If we are going to get real change out of this White House, we need to make demands of this President.  As the great anti-slavery activist Frederick Douglass put it, ‘Power concedes nothing without a demand.’”

I love what lonnie had to say,

  1. BULLSHIT. This EXACTLY the thing we need to do. Barack “I’m a lying homophobe” Obama deserves nothing but contempt from all self-respecting queers. Protest and organization have forced Obama to make this gesture of attending this fundraiser. Protest and organization forced Bill Clinton to come out in favor of gay marriage. Protest and organization has forced Congress to propose bills repealing DOMA and DADT one week before the march.
Lobbying and licking the Democratic Party’s ass hasn’t gotten us shit.
Barack Obama already has a press office. He doesn’t need us to make apologies and excuses for him.

Children should't be subject to life long medical choices

Very interesting statement, which I'm sure the #transinc community will claim to be Transphobic.. in natural. There is nothing bias ...
