HRC’s full statement below: “Tuesday and Wednesday were historic days for our community, as thousands of LGBT people gathered in front of the Supreme Court and in every state across the country to demonstrate their support for marriage equality. HRC was proud to play a role in these events as a member of the United for Marriage coalition, the group which organized the gathering at the Supreme Court. Marriage equality is an issue that fundamentally impacts hundreds of thousands of LGBT people and families across our nation and is greater than any one organization.

“It was agreed that featuring American flags at our program was the best way to illustrate this unifying issue which is why when managing the area behind the podium, several people were asked to move who were carrying organizational banners, pride flags or any other flag that was not an American flag. Several people refused and they were allowed to stay. The coalition welcomed the variety of signs and flags that were throughout the plaza that demonstrated the wonderful diversity of our community.

“It is a not true to suggest that any person or organization was told their flag was less important than another – this did not occur and no HRC staff member would ever tolerate such behavior. To be clear, it is the position of the Human Rights Campaign that marriage is an issue that affects everyone in the LGBT community.

“The events at the Court featured lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender speakers as well as LGBT families, religious leaders, Republicans, military spouses and civil rights activists. This has been a historic week and truly demonstrated how all of us – lesbian, gay, bisexual and straight, transgender and cisgender – can unite as one voice to advocate for our constitutional rights.”

now since Hagan has officially comes out for SSM, the local members of the LGBT Democrats of NC are raising money for her. Yes these “push overs” set a $2,500. goal, but raise over $2,000 for her campaign..

Since many location in east no longer gets their print issues, while they can be found on almost every street in Charlotte and Adult bookstores in Charlotte, Durham, and Raleigh.. and most of the gay bars all west of interstate 95.. Glaad’s Rich Ferraro is having a major hissy fit..

Glaad is right out pissed that two, not one but two of their employees had the nerve to buy and attend their media Award Gala in NY. Yes their Communications President Rich Ferraro, has his undies in so many knots that he can’t piss right.. however it seen there is an email where a Glaad Executive encouraged these two ladies to attend the event..

In a statement to Equality Matters, which is run by Media Matters Action Network, GLAAD’s vice president of communications Rich Ferraro used Colby and Guilfoyle’s attendance to condemn Fox News:

If Kimberly and Jamie expect to attend future GLAAD events, they will first need to sit down with us to discuss Fox News’ embarrassing, biased and misinformed coverage of LGBT issues. The invitation is open. Fox News’s track record on LGBT issues is abysmal, and it makes no sense to me why any LGBT people or allies would want to be a part of that.

Glaad holds an event to encourge people to be inclusive and then a spokesperson for GLAAD castigates two women who were in attendance threatening that if they want to attend future GLAAD events they need to jump through some hoops because of who their employer is. Seems to me that Rich Ferraro is confused on the concept of inclusion. Obviously he has no idea how to be gracious. He was also barking up the wrong tree. I will tell you that as the First Lady of San Francisco Kimberly Guilfoyle was totally committed to the Gay community.

Freedom of speech and artistic expression are critically important, but this isn't free speech. This is hate speech. And in a world where LGBT people are bullied from the pulpit, on the playground, and at the polls, anti-gay hate speech can have serious consequences including legitimizing bullying and hate crimes, and increasing victims' risk of anxiety, depression, and suicide.
Do you believe, as Michelle Shocked apparently does, that "God hates fags?" More importantly, does your performance venue want to be associated with an artist who promotes that kind of ugly hatred? I would hope not.
A venue in Illinois has already cancelled Michelle Shocked's upcoming appearance there in light of her anti-gay rant. To avoid appearing to condone hate speech, I suggest you do the same and cancel Michelle Shocked's performance at your venue.

Not sure on this but I wouldn’t be surprise if the group of folks who were meeting at a local Restaurant in Greenville, didn’t patronize the restaurant that was allowing them to meet there for free..

If you are having a meeting at Tipsy, you are meeting in a restaurant. With big bills: Electric, payroll, rent, etc. Please do us the courtesy of making a purchase without us having to get all passive aggressive on you! Thank you.

Really Folks, she allow you to meet for free, you can’t buy a drink, a salad or a damn sandwich to help the place out. She is giving you valuable income space for free. The owner of the Tipsy Teapot goes out of her way to help and support her community. She gracious allow local community groups to use the other after of the shop for meeting and parties- most of the time for free or very little cost. Yet in turn its not much to ask that you patronize her business while there. Times are hard for everyone, its even harder for local small business too.

Glaad Bans the NY Post from it Gala

Glaad Media Awards will be taking place in Manhattan Saturday, this is just one of few awards galas that will be held this year. This year in NY they will be honoring Anderson Cooper, a once closet case to the highest order. They will be giving him the Vito Russo Award, and it it said Madonna will be presenting the award to him, how nice.

The New York Post, I guess asked for a press pass and it was denied due to the fact the NY Post doesn’t play nicely with the LGBT Community. More importantly they, The Post won’t bow down to Glaad, that is one reason too.

Glaad is apart of Gayinc, which here lately is nothing more than a Bully Organization. Greenville Finally get some much need Attention from Equality NC.

I guess after months of bitching and complaining how Eastern NC is always left out by Equality NC and Qnotes, it must be paying off. At least one way, Equality NC has host more meeting Greenville. Either it beside the finally figured out that Eastern NC is important after the lost of Amendment 1, where ENC coming ignore the East.. Then again could it be a small group of folks are trying get the community together once again and revive the Down East Gay Pride.

Did Glaad Pressure Carly Rae Jepsen to cancel her Gig at The Boy Scout Jamboree

On Twitter this week, Jepsen said: ‘As an artist who believes in equality for all people, I will not be participating in the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree this summer. I always have and will continue to support the LGBT community on a global level and stay informed on the ever-changing landscape in the ongoing battle for gay rights in this country and across the globe.’

The fact is that She said yes to the Boys Scouts, then bow out after Glaad got on her via Change,org thru a Petition by a former Eagle Scout Derek Nance who is gay.

Now I bet last month when the Scout was deciding to end their ban on Gay scouts – if they did, Ms Jespen would still be headlining their Jamboree.

Gayinc is attacking anyone and everyone who doesn’t bow down to them, In fact Glaad is now a LGBT supported Bully.

So just how did Glaad Bully her, did they threaten her with boycotts. I bet they did.. However she did know the BS policies before agreeing to perform at the Jam, to say she didn’t would a damn lie..
