ENC day of Action and WTF?

Equality NC has release the date for their Annual Day of Action, This time it will be held in May 24, 2010, not much has really change about this event,

About the Day of Action

Is helping to achieve LGBT equality worth one day off from work this year? We hope you can answer that question with a resounding YES.

The far right is once again pushing to amend our state constitution to discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender North Carolinians. They want to make us permanent second class citizens. We need your help to stop them! Attend the Equality NC Day of Action 2009 on Tuesday, March 24 to oppose the amendment and speak out for important legislation to address discrimination, HIV prevention and care funding, and other issues.

We'll provide training on how to talk with elected officials and bring you up to speed on the key issues this session, then send you off for appointments with your legislators.

Maybe this year I will be able to attend.. then after a few read the below comment I might not

I'm sure there are many in our community would love to attend this event but can't do to money problems or other issues. However if you happen to be a Trans-person there is hope for you to attend, Yes even though you can afford the boob job, plastic surgery, the many appoint with  your shrink, and the main Operation, but still find that you can't come up the money for gas to your ass there or a place to park your ass for the nite as well, after you have the butt job, just find free sending a email to request the following,

Transportation Assistance for Transgender Community

The Connie Spry Fund is a special fund created to honor the memory of our former board member Connie Spry, who was a strong advocate for the transgender community. The fund will provide assistance in covering transportation and lodging costs for transgender Day of Action participants with financial need.
To apply, please email Ian Palmquist  with the following information or call him at (919) 829-0343:
  • Your name, address and phone number
  • What you are requesting reimbursement for (gas money, parking fee, bus ticket, lodging if you must drive to Raleigh the night before Lobby Day, etc.).
  • A statement that you identify as transgender and have a financial need to cover these expenses.
We will respond to let you know if you have been approved for assistance.

Wow lets help the Trans-person who seem to have all this money for the all Dr appts and meds and other items, but can't afford a trip to Raleigh, MMMM,

My Question for ENC is what about those who would like to attend by can't because of their health problems or financial problems, Once again a select group get a free pass... (solely because they are not happy with themselves)

Children should't be subject to life long medical choices

Very interesting statement, which I'm sure the #transinc community will claim to be Transphobic.. in natural. There is nothing bias ...
