Table Captains are key to helping us reach our attendance goal, and with your help, we'll top 1000 attendees in 2011. To become a Table Captain, select that option when you purchase your ticket – and then try to recruit nine other table mates to join you. You are not responsible for filling your table, and you have no financial commitment other than buying your own ticket.
Make sure you check out the cost of tickets and tables..I will guess Major Donor mean those whom gave over $100,000 to HRC each year
Acourse if you don't have the funds there is another way to attend, basically you have to become unpaid help.
2011 HRC North Carolina Gala Fellowship
HRC Carolinas remains committed to the involvement of a broadly representative population of our lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender community of North Carolina. The 2011 HRC Carolinas Gala Committee invites those with limited income to apply for a Gala Fellowship to attend the gala. HRC Carolinas strives to involve populations in the annual HRC fundraiser, regardless of level of income and other differences, and offers a limited number of fellowships to those individuals that demonstrate need and would not otherwise be able to attend the dinner without financial assistance.
Criteria for Dinner Fellowship:
- Completed Gala Fellowship Application
- Commitment to the HRC mission to build an America where LGBT families and individuals can be open, honest and safe at work, at home and in the community.
- Current resident of North Carolina
- Willingness to volunteer for local HRC organizing and further outreach efforts.
- Demonstration of limited income status.
But you'll get a lot out of being a Table Captain.
Invitation to VIP reception! Likely to be a Friday night event on February 25.
Get your name out there! Table captains are recognized in the Gala's Program Book and on our website.
Get the best seats in the house! Your effort to create excitement for the Gala is rewarded! As soon as your table is full, you are ensured priority seating. First come first serve, so there's no time to waste!
Get multiple tables! You have more than 9 friends who want to join you? We'll co-locate tables when you fill up more than one to ensure your group is together.
